That means that they have reached J1, so no more 2017s being produced. The pre-production builds are happening now. At the moment they are building concurrently with the 17s. Around August they will start the ramp up to full production.

The sheet can be found on the Donlen fleet order site.
How completely stupid. Production start in Oct, so deliveries won't be until NOV? I guess that's fine for people in CA and FL, but being from the Northeast I certainly won't be ordering until at least Feb or Mar. I was hoping for a job 1 in June 2017 but I guess that's not the case.

Well, I guess any of us waiting for the final specs can just take a nap for a couple months at least.

Remember when thePill said 2017 was gonna be a short production year and 2018's were gonna be available to order in April or May? Lol
Unfortunately that was my prediction too. While cutting my grass today I was remembering how I took delivery of my 2007 in June 2006. As much as I would have liked a repeat, that's obviously not going to be the case this year!

Why I ordered a 2017 Ford Mustang GT Premium

Well, I guess any of us waiting for the final specs can just take a nap for a couple months at least.
Got tired of waiting for Ford to release at least the specs.
I could understand not releasing the pricing but damm

^^^ what I did. I don't care what comes of the 2018. I LOVE what I have.

Not to say that if things weren't different I would have turned away a 2018, but everything lined up for me a couple months ago.

I think that will be the route I will take. Intercooler, suspension, pro tune, and then be happy for a few years.

It's really stupid. Whoever is in charge at Ford on these things is a m---n. Releasing a rear-wheel drive sports car where the majority of the US will be entering winter is just beyond absurdly stupid. If you factor in holds, etc the '18 actually won't be out till almost 2018 and in the dead of winter.

There has to be more going on here...they must not have things worked out yet with the tech/transmission/engine. Highly disappointing.

They are slipping in general. No info on 2018 power, late release, over priced and markups on 3 going on 4 years on 350R's with no end in sight, no response to ZL1+1LE, no response to Hellcat and Demon, an un-a-ford-able and unattainable, non-independently tested halo car, they really are pushing the faithful to look at other competitors. I have expanded my review of new vehicles to look at prior to buying, and I have bought new Fords regularly since 1985.
