2 things I do that I found help the squealing issue:
1. With compressed air, blow out the cross holes and the slots on the periphery of the rotor. Be careful, this can get real messy, there is a lot of dust held in the rotors.
2. As the rotors wear you will get a high ridge towards the outside of the rotor. At about 11,000 miles I removed the rotors and ground that ridge flush to the disk face, this seemed to help a lot. The lesser pressure from the side of the pad on that ridge will contribute to the squealing.
I have found that both of these actions do reduce the noise, but these brakes will refuse to be quiet.
After 5 track days last year and almost 14,000 miles, my brake pads are about 50% worn, according to the gap with the wear indicator. About 50% of my DD is highway miles.
