Have you dynoed your car right now on 13lbs? I have a similar setup to you on 12lbs and and put down 702/558 on 91. I'm pretty sure your already sitting at ~680-710 whp. If you change to e85 and keep the same pulley I'm thinking you'll be around ~775whp. I'm also thinking of making the switch to e85 but I'm not sure if I want to daily drive a +750hp car.

Yes, I have. I had finish line performance up in Ohio install my kit. On 93 octane and 12.8 psi it made 587 whp. Pulling a lot of timing. Then about 6-8 months later got an update tune from Lund and put a can of torco in with 93 octane and made 644 whp. Then I moved to Tulsa and only 91 is around so I am 91 and torco. I haven't dyno'd since moving to Tulsa but I added SW off road headers and made it a full 3 inch all the way back.

I know I am low for my boost, always have been.

I guess the jury is still out on what is safer. I was hoping for a more decisive result.

Ok, on 93 I max 12.6ish psi. Good for 701/570
Since going to e85 I'm currently at 17.5ish psi. No dyno yet.

E85 at 12psi is defiantly easier on the motor than 93 at 12psi. Mainly due to how much cooler it burns. Most of us switch to E to make a lot more power on the stock block. If I'm not getting ready for a race or going out looking for "fun" on the street, I'm running 93 on my bigger pulley.

Ahh okay catless headers add a good 30-40 when FI so your right where you should be. I would think e85 would be safer then 91+torco.

Can I assume that if I'm at almost 13 psi on 91 and torco that I will be about the same boost on e85?

Yes. E85 alone doesn't change boost.

So e85 with 100 more HP is easier on an engine then 100 less on 93oct ???
If you are running proper parts for the HP, E85 is way safer, it is all about knock control.

With my 08 GT I made 598 RWHP with 12 psi on 91 pump. With E85 I made 701 RWHP with 12 psi. The 91 pump tune had me scared all the time, one bad fill up and she would have been all done.

I have beefcake special stage 2 procharger D1SC with 13 lbs of boost and I am considering switching to E85.

What do you think is safer for the engine 650 whp on 91 plus torco or 750 whp on E85?
At what rpm are you seeing your peak boost of 13?

Looks like e85 eeked out a victory in the poll. Guess it's time to buy a fore fuel system? :clap2:
