Got it.

I went the opposite way. Had the OPG / CG on at 11 miles. Drove the car to 1974 miles then Whipple time. So far so good, except for winter.

Yeah I'm not doing the OPG/CG so I dont want to waste 1000 on labor if I need a short block.

Pennzoil platinum euro 5w-40 due to the a3/b4 rating (higher ZDTP, hths, and tbn than your typical 5w20 and 5w30). Kicking around rotella t6, mobil1 5w50, and motorcraft 5w50 for the next change but probably just stick with the euro.

Oil selection depends mainly on your goals. Are you trying to maximize power, prevent catastrophic failure, reduce long term wear, or chiefly protect the cat converters? Theres probably 3 different oils to optimize any combination of those.

Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 5w-30 with 1 bottle of Ceratec is what im changing too in the next few hundred miles. Blower should be showing up some time this week
