New member here still in the research phase.

How do Convenience Package buyers feel about their seats? I realize that package is not available currently, but I am looking at cars already on dealer lots.

My first inclination is to go with the Electronics Package and the Recaros, but there are a number of cars on the market right now with the leather seats. Having owned several cars with Recaros - going all the way back to my 1980 VW Scirocco S - the one drawback I found with them was bolster wear.

Thanks for your input! It's definitely an educational process for me right now.

Being an old fart I really like the comfort of the leather seats and the heated/cooling plus power adjustment much better than the Recaros. As far as wear time will tell. But like any leather seat if conditioned properly assume will hold up ok.

In a track monster like the GT350, you need the Recaros. I found the other seats I slide a lot more in turns and not as comfy.

The recaros are nice and will hold you better in corners. That said, if I bought my car again, would still get the comfort seats. I plan to use this car for primarily street use and occasional track time. If I want to cut a serious lap time, have another car for that lol

I love my convenience seats. They have great bolstering and hold me in very tight, while still providing heating, cooling, and power. Very nice. I haven't tried the recaro's, but from what I hear, they can be a bit uncomfortable

Me crazy, and I can't help myself
I'm 6'1 and 205, i have the recaro's and i find them surprisingly comfortable. My car is stored during the winter and used for weekend cruising, since its not used in the cold and it doesn't sit in the sun the heated and cooled seats are useless for me. Very happy with the Recaro's.

The leather seats have more adjustment capability. Recaros are limited to front to back and backrest angle adjustments. I suggest you try sitting in both types before you make your choice.

After a while, the Recaros became uncomfortable for my aging hip joints...I thought the perfect combo for me would be for comfort seat bottom with Recaro back...
Good luck OP.

We are the same size.... I would say if you fit in the Recaros (and I may be just about as big as you can be to do so comfortably) get them! They are actually very comfortable, look great, and add to the sporty nature of the interior and the car as a whole. There is plenty of adjustability. If you are bigger and just don't fit then don't force it and be uncomfortable, go with the leather. I've never sat on the leathers, but i'm sure they are comfy. No way they look as good and cool as the Recaros though.

I'm a big guy at 6' and 240ish lbs. I got the tech package because my wife and I plan to travel with it and she hated traveling with the terminator seats in my 98 Cobra. I am enjoying the comfort seats and while the Recaros would be awesome if I was tracking it more, I just couldn't justify them so the wife will enjoy the car and I can drive it more

Just for informational purposes. I'm 6'1" and weigh 165 lbs.
You won't have any issues with the Recaros. It depends on whats important to you. If you find a car in the color and options you want, can live with what ever seats it has, and the price is right, then go for it. I would try both in person and make up your mind.

I personally found the Recaro's to be very comfortable (6'1" - 195) but my wife who is much shorter (5'2") did not like them a bit so... we wound up with the comfort seats and I am not upset about it. Eventually I will be swapping the driver's side for a racing seat but until then the comfort seats are fine.

I've sat in the Recaros and they are fine.

What I am finding though, is that there are a number of cars selling at MSRP or lower that have the Convenience Package instead.

While I prefer the Recaros, I can't see paying a premium for them.

Thanks for all the great opinions!
