You should be able to get a great deal on a gently used 2016 Tech Pack, which all come with the Heated/Cooled seats. I sold mine, not long ago, for an R.

Pros:
Very comfortable, great for long trips.
Heated seats!
Cooled seats!
Power seats!

Cons:
Should've came with the power memory settings.
Don't hold you that well on the racetrack.
thanks, appreciate the input. I have heard some owners say that the alcantara inserts help to keep you planted during track time, but others have said that recaros are the way to go. i won't be tracking mine a whole lot. Mainly using it for spirited driving, daily during summer, long trips to shows, etc..

Why oh why are the convenience packages so hard to find on the '18 GT350s? I understood the stock problems Ford had on the '17s with this package, but surely they figured it out for the '18s.

I've been looking for months for an '18 in the Northeast with the convenience package. I found just a couple, versus dozens of GT350s with the electronics package. It's not just about disliking the Recaros, it's about having heated seats in cold weather in the Northeast. It's a great option.

Regarding heated seats: If you have leather, the seat heaters help a lot. We have them in our Audis. With the Recaros (I have them), seat heaters are not as important IMO as the heat transfer from the alcantara is much less (than leather). I drove mine recently in <20F weather without a jacket, and didn't feel I needed the Recaros heated at all.

cause racer car really.

i had premium heated/chilled seats in my 16 GT. not my DD and didn't care for them. leather gets hot in the summer and the chilled setting just made it like cold sweats. don't really drive it in the winter so never used the heat option.

i guess if you DD the 350 in colder climates it is a plus. idk.

For me the heated and cooled is not as important as the build of the seat themselves. I've sat in the Recaros and they do snug you in good, but they are a bear to get in and out of...I also heard from someone on a you tube review that the recaros can be hot and sweaty in the summer just like the leather...
I like the leather feel with the alcantara, the heated cooled is just a bonus

I am right there with you... at least make the percentages manufactured higher. You can still have the majority be Recaro, but not by 95% or more. I am ready to call Jay Leno and find out how he got Leather seats put into his R. If you watch his video it was the first thing he did. Bigger guys get pinched by the bolstering. Ford should know that a lot of the guys driving and affording these cars are not skinny 20 somethings...

I saw the video, if I remember correctly, he mentions that he bought the leather seats and keep the recaros.

I actually know someone who spoke to Leno about his seats - Leno told him that Ford delivered the car with the more comfortable seats in place, per his request.
