Forgive me if someone already pointed this out...but Ford is hiding some easter eggs in one of the gauge cluster photos.

1964.5 miles

289 miles to empty

Pretty significant, right?

What about the other numbers...like 4th gear and 55Mph?

Also the RPM in which the car is at (looks to be 4700RPM).

Might mean 470Hp/455Tq? - (Pure speculation, of course)

The Hp jump can be done...DI and a higher redline wouldn't make that a difficult task. The Tq is the bigger ask...but with DI and more compression, it could be possible to get there.

Considering some of the gains other DOHC N/A engines have made when they've got DI. Think smaller 4 cylinders from the likes of Honda or Mazda. Great torque from those little mills.

No way the car is getting 475 unless they have big plans for the 2020. It's a refresh. It will see around 15-25hp at most I bet. Just because DI/PI doesn't mean they are going to pull out all the power from it. They will trickle it because it most likely will be the same engine in the 2020.
I disagree. With a 400 rpm bump and 1 point in compression it will make 475 hp easily. I'm assuming with dual injection and the 400 rpm bump we will see a new intake manifold as well.

1964.5 and 289 refer to the original Mustang. I'm pretty sure it had a 289ci option.

EDIT: re-reading your post; I think you already implied that actually :)

And then blacked out with some better filling wheels...

You have to snicker at the "I'll be keeping my '15-17 crowd" butt hurt is not a good look
I'd gladly upgrade, but I'd lose my ass in the process so I'll be cruising along in my '15 for a while. ;)

Maybe the front end isn't all that we hoped for but I do know I can't see it while I'm driving it.
But oh those rims!
