Looks like one of the China units. I'd say spend the extra money and get a nice American made American core style stock replacement or full face intercooler. You can get the CP-E for under 500 shipped if you ask them for a discount code

If you want to spend sub $500 and retain OEM fitment with no lasting modifications the option I'd go is cp-e. Tough to beat the products I see them making

Looks like one of the China units.
That is exactly a Mishimoto intercooler. Probably made in the same factory, since the MM unit is made in China.

its not exactly the same, but it looks very similar. Does anybody have a picture of the inside of the tanks on the mishimoto? Thats what I wanted to compare.

I'd say exactly the same, same end tank, same mounting points.
Only difference is the Mishi logo cast in and a different paint.
The dimensions are also identical, as is the bar and plate construction.

And I'm not bashing the MM, it's what i have currently installed. I got a great deal on it, so couldn't pass it up.

I'd look for a nice used unit if $350 is around your budget. Not hating but I don't think you'd be pleased with its performance. If you're looking for a stock location FMIC, check out the CP-e like Ron mentioned above.

how would the same size intercooler, that fits without one modification, made with the same materials, potentially made by the same manufacturer, compromise its performance?

I think the budget and chinese product shaming is, pretty lame. Buy the expensive shit if you can afford it, if not enjoy modding your car, and do your own research, and prove that the "inferior" chinese product is inferior.

This cheap chinese intercooler is producing the same result, of reducing intake temps, and saving me some money for more mods.

I do agree with most, that you get what you pay for. Personally, I would not skimp on safety, braking, and engine management, the rest, I will vet and take a small gamble to save some coin for more parts.

I purchased this off of amazon for 350. It looks exactly like the Mishimoto intercooler. The quality is excellent. It does have the baffle on the intake side. No problems with the installment.
