Are the BMR jacking rails a weld on item?
Look at the steeda jacking rails. I installed them on my car and work great. Easy install, bolted right on.

I had a similar experience to Lurker's. The threads were binding dur to the factory sealant applied. I chased the threads and had no other issues.
I'll be sure to chase the threads so I don't have this issue. Thanks for the heads up guys!!

I went with the BMR ones because they are longer and allow jack stands to be placed further apart.

I have a set of 2 piece race ramps from reverse logics and they are awesome. They have 80 inch length with a 10 inch lift hand and 8.6 degree grade. They have the extenders built into them so you don't have to buy them separately.

Reverse Logic race ramps, no extender ramps needed
http://www.reverselogic.us/2-stage-incline-ramps.html

Part number RR-80-10-2
8.5 degree incline , 2 stage, 10 inch lift

The RR-80-10-2 ramps are a standard Race Ramps catalog item with a 10" high cradle top platform and an 8.5Ëš initial incline. The RLL-80-2 ramps are a custom product manufactured by Race Ramps for Reverse Logic.

Any problem with near complete oil emptying because of the angle? Was always told better drainage of old oil if level.
It takes exactly 10 quarts using race ramps, so I would say there is no problem.

Ok I punched a hole in the filter and let it drain for 15-20 mins. Very slow stream..and then dripping. Maybe I didn't punch a large enough hole in the filter...I don't know.
If you punch a second hole in the bottom of the filter, higher up, it ought to let air sort of dribble into the filter, a little bubble or two at a time, and let more oil slowly drain out. It won't be all of it, though.

When it slows down to a drip, that's when I've always started to loosen the filters, going only a fraction of a turn at a time. Once the filter seal breaks free, there will be more oil coming out, but if you loosened the filter a small enough amount it should be coming out slow enough to remain attached to the filter body (watch the low side on filters that aren't perfectly vertical).

I've had at least three cars where I've had to follow the above approach to avoid making a mess.

I have a set of Race Ramps as well and they are of a slightly different design and aren't as good as yours at getting the car high enough in the air...only 8 inches. 2 extra inches would make a big difference in working under the car. Wished I had the ones you have.:headbonk:
