How long did you guys and gals wait to mod your GT's? I'm getting ready to store her for the winter and she will have about 1500 miles. since she will be down might as well mod away, right?

Based on your signature you've already started to mod? Not sure why you're asking since according to your signature you've already done multiple mods?

I made it two weeks and 1100 miles before adding a green filter, Steeda shifter bushing, trans mount bushing and clutch spring. Technically, they're mods. :D

I'll probably have the warranty completely voided by 10k miles.

I usually like to wait at least 10-15k before bolting on anything. It gives you time to truly break in and test the engine. If you had manufacturing issues, hopefully they would have surfaced by that time. I just hit 10k this weekend. I just ordered a FF tune for it last week. I don't plan on doing any bolt ons until I go full out.

Pretty sure he is talking engine. Wait. Maybe not, didn't see all that stuff, LOL. Maybe he just has it sitting in the corner?

3 1/2 weeks after I brought it home in January I upgraded the speakers and have been modding ever since now to the tune of $4000, almost done, lol.

however there was a 5 month period in there between my stereo and intercooler upgrades where no mods were done at all, I was replenishing the bank account at that point.

I did the exhaust at about 300 miles. The Airaid intake and Bama tune went on at about 600 miles. Then I got serious and ordered a Procharger and a bunch of MMR stuff at 1000 miles. However, I ended up trading in the car/selling the blower before I could enjoy it.

I think you should wait about 1000 miles before serious mods, on any car, really...but some guys tear open the motor right away.

If it's too cold, I am not modding. I hate doing something that I can't test out right away.

The alignment shop though I was a little crazy when I went in to have the struts slotted for a track/autox alignment on basically a new car.

As delivered the GTs need a better exhaust (read: louder), and a good window tint. Those are probably the most popular first mods.

OK so I seem to be doing it right then!

I would love to do a TVS2300 but that will be a couple years out.

I drove mine from the dealer to my house which is about 5 miles and swapped the exhaust. The dealer was still working on the paperwork to do a price adjustment from the $500 increase in the PP, so technically I modded before I officially owned it. Would have been tuned at the dealer but I had to wait for the dealer to finish the purchase paperwork before they would do that. Not big mods but mods none the less. No need to wait, the sooner you do them the longer you enjoy them.
