That's my question to you guys regarding your GT350's and what you wish you had purchased early on in your ownership? I'm ordering the alcantara cleaning solution plus brush as well as the brake dust spray before my car arrives. I'm also shopping around now for radar detectors as well as Xpel quotes. I've got $800 quoted for a bikini finish but I believe I read that wasn't the optimal option for this car.

I live in AZ so dust is the standard issue here, so I'm curious what equipment you guys recommend for maintaining a dust free car without using any harsh equipment. I don't have much natural shade during the day so washing my car in the AZ sun isn't fun to do alone. Do you guys all wash your own or do you suggest specialty car wash establishments?

Any other suggestions or advice for little things like I have mentioned above that you would had like to have got ahead of sooner with your car?

Thanks for your input. You can tell I'm getting excited to have this thing arrive!

Resonator Delete - far more exotic sound with them pulled.

Wash it at dawn or dusk when your house or other structure gives the most shade. Drying a car when the sun is beating down is a sure formula for water spots.

Replace the oil plug with a drain valve at the first change.

I live in AZ too. Make sure you have a garage. I apply Maguire's Brazilian Wax
and apply weekly as needed, including the exterior glass.

I use a Ryobi electric pressure washer from Home Depot, foam cannon and CR Spotless deionizer system. After rinsing with pressure washer I dribble DI water over the surface to sheet off the drops then blow the remaining water off with a Metro MasterBlaster.

I am going to give foam cannon/leaf blower combo a chance myself. The only question is, is the foam cannon good enough to properly clean the surface? Dont you still use a mitt of some sort to rub the paint?

I bought chemical guys' green shampoo which is supposed to be the strongest shampoo but not sure how much you can clean without a mitt.

I do have a powerful 3200 psi pressure washer as well.

You still have to rub with the mitt. Get a grit guard for the bucket or just re dip into a second bucket. Dry it with a blower. Take pics and post on forum.

My concern is (just being honest) the water spots that dried and all the calcium build up will scratch the paint and cause micro scratches.

I will use a second bucket (I think thats safer).

It rained today, hopefully tomorrow.

When I got mine home I did the following
Blast with pressure washer
Foam with pressure washer
Wipe with good mitt
Rinse with pressure washer
Dry
Clay bar
Rinse
Wax
Detail spray

Took about 4 hours.
I only wash by hand since then.

Which detail spray did you use?

I never did claybar on a brand new car before. My paint felt really smooth but maybe I should do it.

When I did claybar on my M5 it did take 4-5 hours for a full detail. It is extremely time consuming. I wish they had a way to do this using a polisher and not by hand.
