Are they saying it will take 20 days before it's actually shipped, or 20 days just to get to the port??
With thousands of cars shipped to Australia so far, we still do not have enough data to answer that question reliably :headbonk:

I just got an e-mail from Ford saying that my car has completed production. The VIN states it was built Sep. 16th, so isn't this news a little late? Anyway, one thing that puzzles me is this: "in the coming days your Mustang with a 5.0l V8 Engine will make its way by train to the port to be shipped. This will take about 20 days."

Are they saying it will take 20 days before it's actually shipped, or 20 days just to get to the port??
Takes about a week to get to port, but worse it may be siting there for upto 6 weeks:frusty::frusty:

It's probably already at the port - PM Deysha for confirmation.

Take those emails with a grain of salt, they are usually delayed. Some guys were getting emails stating that their car was on a ship when it was already in their garage.

They must be stupid 20 days to port, mine was built 6-9-16 Deysha told me was at the docks on the 9-9-16. It took 3 days and i think 600 miles or so by train to get there.
I got no emails from Ford ,you must be lucky?

I hope the 20 days is a joke. If mine was built on Sep 16, is the Oct 18th boat even a possibility? The next 2 after that leave Oct 26 and Nov 4. Any later than that, and I won't get it this year :(

I think people need to read between the lines and use the 20 days to get to port as a guide like the latest time it would take to get their. Anything earlier is a bonus.

People need to stop taking everything they say literally and as gospel. Contact Deysha as others and you have suggested as a better solution for peace of mind.

I think once I know mine has a build date I'll just try avoid all tracking. So many people let down by there cars Sitting at the docks for weeks, would be worse knowing you've missed countless ships

Ford Australia are a bit behind. I contacted FA mid September with my NSC code and they advised me they didn't have VIN number but the car was expected to be built in October so they said to contact them again in October. I contacted them this morning and had my VIN and said the car was built and on it's way to the dock. I haven't received any emails from Ford or dealership.

I just got my email from Ford Australia this afternoon saying mine has been built and the same detail as all the others, around 20 days to the dock. I haven't asked for any information as my dealer has so far been spot on, ordered February, told me October build and January delivery. Now it is alive it has become real.

Might ask for the VIN if I start getting anxious but I may just let the process happen and see how it goes.

Hey Ange and anyone else with cars at port,

The "Figaro" has only just turned into the channel leading to Baltimore port from the open ocean, due into port within the next 10 hours or so.

The Figaro wont leave until our Saturday

Now, to date no cars have been booked on the Figaro. Check out the shipping site in the morning, you may get a surprise. The Figaro is heading to port for a reason.

I spoke to the stock controller at my dealership and he know has a transport number but didn't know exactly what it meant or what ship it is on . Does anyone have a idea as my car has been at docks for a month know. He said that number was recently uploaded into the system
