I'm under the impression that this is a very bad thing. Don't you need about 1,000 miles and an oil change first?

He literally got it delivered to his house, two days before, and then drove it to the track. That's what he said anyway.

I'm no expert. But I had a track day scheduled. Did a tiny bit of research and found it was a terrible idea.

Do you lose your money paid for track day if you get kicked for noise? I have pp gt with BOrla sport and about to be tsp long tubes no cats. So I guess my hopes to race laguna are slim with thay setup?

Yeah you definitely lose the money you paid in advance since you're already on the track. I don't want to be the bearer of bad news, but Laguna Secs is pretty strict. I'd recommend doing a dB test on your car or someone else with similar mods so you know ho .loud it is before you sign up and pay for a track day. Luckily most tracks/orgs when you signup, they'll tell you what the sound limit for the track is for that day.

Yeah that sucks big ones. Maybe I'll get a set of stock mufflers to.throw on for laguna seca days. Thunderhill is bad ass just to far and nothing nice to see out there lol. Laguna seca is atleast near the ocean. Dam noise restrictions at a track are ridiculous if you ask me. Who wants a quite race car. Smh. I guess I'll be going to thunderhill again for my next track day until I quiet car down.

luckily its not a race, its a track day,so no trophy will be lost if you upshift or lift past the sound booth at laguna.

True I've never been there so definitely a possibility. I just tend to try and max out my car and better my driving regardless race or not. Since it's a track and not the street. Still kind of nonsense IMO that I can't go full speed at track where im supposed to vs the street. Especially for the amount they charge.

Laguna Seca is kind of special, strange, as the sound limits change throughout the day. This year for SF Region SCCA races they started out at 90dbA in the morning, then went to 101dbA and 103dbA as it gets later in the day. The groups are arranged so that quieter classes run during the strictest limits and the louder classes run later, no cars on course before 8am and a strict 6pm shut down time. They want the riches that bought their expensive houses decade after the track was built to have quiet brunches and dinner parties.
Sonoma and Thunderhill are 103dbA for SCCA and NASA race events.

Truth, the turns are more fun, so totally fine to not go WOT near the sound stations.
