Tracks in Nashville or Indianapolis

Hey Fellas -

Looks like I'll be moving south of the border off and on for work in 2018. Large stretches.

Anyone in either Nashville or Indianapolis and any tracks you would recommend?

I'm in Indianapolis...there is a track 40 or so miles SE of Indy called Putnum Park Will be taking mine there this spring.

I'm heading to Putnam Park again next weekend. 1.7 miles, 10 turns, no substantial elevation changes, but a nice facility. I've done 20 track days there in the past 10 years. Let me know if you're headed out there some time. (I'm planning to go again October 14-15 with the local Porsche club.)

nashville superspeedway has a road course track through the infield. did a track day there a while ago, probably 2007ish. i live in south florida now so it might be a thing of the past

Lots of choices within a few hour drive of Nashville, NCM, Barber MSP, Road Atlanta, AMP, and Putnam. All are worth the trip but put Putnam last.

I'll bump this thread back up when I know the city and timing. Should be a lot of track time next year though.

I'm in the Nashville area and go to NCM Motorsports Park quite often. Takes me no more than an hour to get there. It's a really nice track, and very technical. Heading to Barber Motorsports park this weekend which is about 4 hours South, but well worth the drive. Definitely keep us posted!

That venue has closed. Dover sold it a couple of years ago.

It isn't Unfortunately.

last event I heard about there was last year around this time, Music City Mustangs did a track day event there. I heard the pavement on the transition was coming apart and chewed up alot of paint jobs that day.

I remember the transitions were pretty bad back then and can't imagine them with broken pavement.

I am also in the Indy area and I can vouch for Putnam Park as a great road course. I ran an Audi R8 there 2 years ago and it was a blast. However it is pricey to run there so be aware.
