Behaviour under hard acceleration

Interesting one... checked suspension and alignment and under hard acceleration car pulls to right and feels a little skittish.

Only really noticed when driving m3 yesterday that the stang feels way looser

Define hard acceleration; are you going redline and then changing gear?

Are you in sport mode? Race mode? do you have ESC off? TC off?


Mines only ever pulled towards the left whenever accelerating like a crack pot - but i've only done it in track once and shat myself...

Never had issue, done 1/4 mile runs at the Pod full throttle from 1st through to 4th to around 120mph and car feels absolutely planted.

I've also seen around 155mph on private driveway which is a bit bumpy and it still felt planted at such speeds.

Mine is stock - doesn't pull at all to either side but does go nose light and feels skittish

Mm I did feel the same loose feeling like the rear
Was twisting under hard throttle, whole car felt unbalanced
It seamed to go after I had alignment sorted,
No problems since now pulling over 600 at the rear tyres feels firm.

Thanks for your replies. Mac you described it far better than me, feels like the car is twisting to the right, the 197 did the same. Just comparing to the Mcar with similar power levels made me pause for thought.

I think there might be a tad too much camber on the back making it a bit skittish. Seems better on sport and track mode ironically.

Im sure someone may define hard acceleration as redline from gears 1-4, others gears 1-5, etc etc, was just trying to source what could have caused it.

the camber may explain why [MENTION=13598]Gibbo205[/MENTION] doesn't feel it; as his has been changed a lil!

No they don't like rear camber @gibbo has a good setting
I'm running a little less than his but only marginally will ask him to reply with his graph, worth a punt mate cos mine handles as good as anything I've driven NC500 was a good test for the Mustang i can sum it in one word awsome

My PP car had similar issues. Lowering the car fixed a majority. My car felt very loose in between shifts, when the rear suspension unloads and reloads. I bought my car used and the suspension was bone stock.
