Echo Kristian87's words above, welcome to the process of taking ownership of a Mustang.
Back in the day , we had no idea of what we were getting, just blindly going into Ford dealerships, throwing a grand at them and committing to a £35k car. Not a demo to be found, first one I saw was after 6 months of waiting!!
Most of the early adopters had no idea what the colours would even look like in real life until the day of pick up, never mind anything else that came with the car. I think I can speak for most of the early birds by saying, it was instant attraction, if not Love . But for the tenacious few on here that mercilessly pressed Ford, dug up info from the furthest corners of the Internet and generally added to the excitement, we all would have went quite mad!!
Now it's relatively easy to go look at a colour/spec that's on offer from Ford and/or simply attend a meet. I'm genuinely glad to see that the process of waiting and anticipation is still there, enjoy that feeling, it makes the day you get the phone call to say it's arrived (most of the early folks were treated to a call months out of tune from when we expected it ), the day you go pick it up, the night before when you can't sleep, all the more special.
It's our little bonding process, that makes us all care passsionately about that hunk of metal on the drive, that mechanical menagerie of bits, that piece of Americana, aside from family, the most exiting and joyous thing we've experienced for a long while!
Soak it all in, you'll be a different person when it arrives
