I would think it would melt off. Just the FL heat would melt them it seems.Curious to see how they hold up to the heat. Keep us updated please!
Looks good! And do they just slip on? Mine look like crap and would like to hide them.

plastidipped my Borla exhaust tips glossy black instead of chrome. Still anxiously awaiting the arrival of my actual car so I can put this on!
Dont fit them unless I'm missing something they will not stand the heat. I would be checking with the manufacturer as to the heat tolerance of the plastidipping. You could have a nice little fire that wont be covered by insurance.![]()

I think the exhaust will get much hotter than 200°F........1000 at the manifold and about 400 to 500 at the end?Will Plasti Dip® hold up to heat and racing?
Plasti Dip® can resist up to 200°F, and has been known to handle the heat and abuse produced at racing or rally car events. However, heat resistance really depends on how long Plasti Dip is exposed to that heat, and how you expect the coating to perform in that heat. In general, if the coating will not be subject to impacts, nor is it expected to resist abrasion or chemicals, and if it's just for a short amount of time, most Plasti Dip surfaces would be able to handle temperatures outside the listed range. Always test first.
