Or buy a Mustang and with the saved money and mod.

Or choose the car that had the best modding potential without opening the engine... Hands down the Mustang.
Or I could buy a 2001 SS and put 10k into and murder both? Once we start modding, it turns into a slippery slope. Stock for stock, there isn't a performance metric the GT wins. It's a great car for the price, no one should argue that. But option for option, the SS isn't that much more than the GT. Ford just does a better job at stripping out options. You can't get an SS without 20s and Brembos.

Oh I know. The hamster wheel will just keep spinning. The Camaro is faster stock. The Camaro Costs More. The Camaro is ugly. The Mustang takes to mods better. The Camro is hard to see out of........ If I forgot any let me know or fill them in for me in your next post. The only thread more repetitive then this nonsense is the Sales thread over on Camaro6!

I personally don't think it's ugly, /but it does get mentioned about 15 times per Camaro thread. Just like you mention in every thread that modding isn't fair.;):)

It's fair, in the same way that a modded 01 SS is faster and cheaper than an S550 GT.

I'm not getting into this argument again except to say that I'm here because despite the Camaro being a better performance car, I don't like it better.

Not all of us are brand loyalists. Some of you guys clearly are and that's your choice...in any case, it would be swell if we could try to be a bit more civil in addressing personal opinions, myself included. ;)

Pro-tip: If someone writes or says something that's subjective, in the context of their own voice, it's implied that it's their opinion, so tacking on a 'to me' is redundant.
That's fair.

Additionally, if someone writes "your" it's probably intended as the contraction "you're which means "you are."

A lot of us are brand loyal and if you don't want to get your feeling hurt go back to c6g. :ford:

Your feelings are on the line here, pal. Why are you participating in this discussion again?

Can't this just be fun? Look at these two cars! You can't go wrong. They each have their strengths they each have some faults...but they are each incredible.

We all have our own priorities and preferences which is what makes picking out your choice of muscle car so important and awesome.

If this stuff isn't fun for you, I think you're looking at the wrong class of car.

I want the personality, looks and heritage of the Mustang with the performance of the Camaro....and I think that may be coming so I'm holding for the next revision...hoping the 2018 GT comes through. Otherwise, I'll take a long hard look at the Camaro SS 1LE.

It's an awesome time to be a gearhead.
