I've posted the same subject on both the F8x board and here.
It's pretty overwhelming on here where the heart is.
On the BMW board, not as overwhelming but definitely no one swaying me to stay.

I don't quite daily drive my car as I have a Tacoma that takes half the duty but I do take my M out 3/4 days of the week and yes, even winter I bring it out. I tend to avoid icy or blizzard conditions though.
Considering how often I use it as a daily driver, this decision keeps me on the fence.

Come on, any locals?? :help:
The GT350 works great in cold weather and as a daily driver in my opinion, if that's the feedback you were looking for. Weather mode is very helpful, and the car is also quite stable if you leave it in normal mode and still try to drive fast. I started putting it in weather mode when it's wet, though. The computers help me to drive more quickly rather than just spin the tires. In heavy traffic the clutch is plenty light and it's fun to play with exhaust noises. You get lots of people reading the front fenders and I've had some people wave me in front of them so they can hear my exhaust. The Tremec box is a joy to shift - especially when it's warm from slow driving. I try to avoid very sloppy, icy or excessively cold days, but I've driven a lot in below zero weather. No problems with cold starts or driveability in cold. The engine oil doesn't get very warm in cold weather, though. I ended up doing an extra oil change due to how cold the oil tended to stay last winter.

Just can't get enuff!
^I second all of that.... I enjoy driving the 350 in a mild leisure manner. Rain or shine these cars can be driven. Yes in the rain as well... it won't melt and again it's not garage ornament. ;)

Love the YMB color... and I also like Austin Yellow after that. This is the bimmer fan in me speaking. :D

Anway, yes these cars can move pretty quick... fast on & off the track. The big letdown is that exhaust noise... huge fail IMO for such pedigree. BMW engineers need to put the M back into Motorsport... right now it's lacking. Beautiful car though IMO... here's an M4 near me in YMB w/ the Sakhir orange interior but a hardtop convertible version. Sticker was easily over 80K. :eyebulge:

For sure. ///M's just aren't there in spirit anymore for me. I haven't driven the M2 which allegedly does restore some of that. In my opinion, if you've got no more all-motor cars, something does get lost.

Anyway, here's my M4 below, next to my friends 2013 Boss 302. What a fantastic car he has. Driving my M4 felt nowhere near as visceral and just cool as his Boss. THAT is a car with spirit. Below that pic is my fall to temptation to run the car at the drag strip while still in break-in. It took a few passes of fiddling with settings but I did squeeze an 11 second pass out of her. On a circuit it is more than I am capable of pushing to 10/10ths.

I'll miss it, but I'm glad I moved on to a Shelby.

There will be an F80 M3 in the garage next to my GT350R. My wife evidently fell and hit her head. ;)

In addition to her GT350 or, she changed her mind?

If you're gonna get a 4 door sedan I can't think of a better one. Maybe a C63s or the new Alfa when it comes out. Any way, that is a great combo of cars in the garage. Congrats, an M3 next to a GT350R. Life is good! :headbang:

Better? You're right, probably not. But rather have? Charger SRT 392.
I always forget about that one. I'm not a Dodge fan so it makes it easy for me to not remember it. I think of that car as truly a one trick pony (no pun intended). But, if you just want a really fast, comfy roomy sedan then it is a good choice.

Somebody mentioned Austin Yellow. Here was my M4 that I traded in for the GT350.

Sounds like it fits the DD bill. ;)

I will say though that the M4 does look pretty spectacular in blue from the 3/4th's.

392? For the price of these cars might as well go Hellcat. I saw a bad ass orange charger hellcat with factory bronze wheels. It look sick as hell and was fast as hell.

For the price of a loaded m3 sedan, one can get an m5 right?

Now that re-read my post this is very true.

It would be a lot more fun than our family truckster, AKA the Accord. :headbonk:

No way my wife would go for it though as it would be her car. I'm trying to talk her into a C63S as I've never had one. I think that would be a pretty fun DD. :D

Sort of/not really depending on lease rates etc. A nicely loaded M3 is around 80 as opposed to around 115 for a M5.
