while the Shelby GT350R did 7:32.19 on the Ring.
100% falsified by horseshitpowerkings dot kahm. There are not confirmed 'Ring times for the GT350 in base or R format directly from Ford.

On a track like the ring, the GT350R will destroy a normal GT350. Lighter, more tire, better tire, and a good bit more areo. But a normal GT350 would run away from the M2 with ease. Being a lighter doesn't matter when everything else is so biased to the mustang.Let's look at the numbers and the facts. The M2 did 7:58 on the Ring, while the Shelby GT350R did 7:32.19 on the Ring. The the non-R GT350 shouldn't be too much slower than the R, no more than a few seconds, which is still A LOT faster than the M2 on the ring. Even faster than the M4 which did 7:52. The Shelby GT350 is aimed to beat the BMW M series... Just so you know, I am a big fan of the BMW M3/M4. However, I bought the Shelby GT350 because of the price and the performance.
The GT350 can easily be a daily driver for 95% of the people out there that have any "sport" in the lobes of their brain. It is a very comfortable car that can also be taken to the track and thrashed without any modification. The GT350 is comfortable, it is refined, and I don't want it to be understated (more opinion based compared to many makes out there). That is what makes it a great car...it reminds me of a P-car!If it were my daily driver, I'd seriously consider the M2 over the GT350; being more comfortable, refined, and understated are good things most of the time. As a compliment to my daily commuter, however, I'd much rather have the GT350R because it's more visceral, unrefined, and visually loud.
This is so true! It's one of the most comfortable cars I've owned. The GT350 can easily be a daily driver for 95% of the people out there that have any "sport" in the lobes of their brain. Agreed, surprisingly it's the most refined car in my garage right now (which includes a Jaguar XJ8 Vanden Plas and a 911 Carrera S)This is so true! It's one of the most comfortable cars I've owned.
The 997.1S was a very stiff car...here is my 07 997.1S.Agreed, surprisingly it's the most refined car in my garage right now (which includes a Jaguar XJ8 Vanden Plas and a 911 Carrera S)
991S over a GT350?? or 991S AND a GT350...that's more like it.For me its either I move on to a GT350 or I keep my E92 M3. Unfortunately my lease is up at the end of July. I would have to buy it out and see what happens with the market for the GT350, or I just keep my E92. The only thing that turns me off on the GT350 is the size of the car and weight, however, I absolutely love the car.
If I can somehow manage to eek out a few more dollars in income I may even move on to a 991S.

Absolutely agree. It's my DD as well. Coming from an E46 M3 which i DD'd as well and which, in hindsight, was elentybillion times more of a PITA to DD.This is so true! It's one of the most comfortable cars I've owned.
Its not like your E92 is all that much different in weightF. The only thing that turns me off on the GT350 is the size of the car and weight, however, I absolutely love the car. e

I loved the car, wifey hated it. However, it was not the best DD. Rubbed on every speedbump and it was a very stiff car. If you put the PASM in sportmode it rode like it had no shocks, which I am sure you know.

My car came in @3618 lbs. and I don't want to go heavier than this...just the 350 has a certain panache that I just love. Its not like your E92 is all that much different in weight
