So 70-90 degree difference between Track/Tech cars that're running on track conditions (131f) to normal driving (200-220f). That's not comforting at all. Why the F*** would Ford do this?
So they could sell a $49,995 GT350 and poor packaging choices hence the 17 changes. It's a clear screwup with no official fix in sight outside of trading for a 17.

Yeah. That doesn't even seem possible. I would assume the normal operating temp would be much higher.

Leave youporn out of this. Ha

How were they monitoring this? Do the track packs have trans temp available on the menu?

Yes. Can modify Tech pack computers to display this as well.

Were you up in the mountains ? That's pretty high for a 45 minute drive.
What was the temperature like ?

Nope. It was a drive from the ferry terminal actually on Vancouver island. No mountains at all. Temperature was 22 degrees C out. Really high man. This car overheats like its its only job.

I can hit 240-260 in 45 minutes pretty easily when it is hot and humid. Put three people in your car and just roll at 80 do a couple hard passes and see what happens.

why do you think they thought it was slick to remove transmission temp from the digital readout. They knew damn well it was going to be a completely different set of operating conditions regardless of track use.

Why?
Do you think that Ford would readily allow a temperature display for a condition that would go out of control so easily?
That would create more of a service problem than what they have now. Keep in mind that only a very very small percentage of Base and Tech Pack owners are monitoring the transmission temperature, including the few of us that turned on the gauge feature. If all of the 3500+ cars had that display visible, there would be a lot more warranty complaints they would have to address.

With ambient temp 73, no uncomfortable humidity , operating in low end of power band (3,500 - 5,500 with bursts into around 7,000 rpms occasionally, transmission got to 243 for extended period.
