George I sent in a email about getting sent the wrong knob. Hopefully it gets handled today. I called yesterday at 9am and was really frustrated when I didn't receive tracking for the replacement yesterday.

^Short fuse much? George is one of the few guys that you will never hear anything negative about. You will get your correct knob.

I left you a voicemail. We did ship it yesterday you may want to check your spam folder. I will say that we do not buy this knob in ANY other thread but the M12 x 1.25, it is a little common for the soft brass insert to have a little burr if it even barely cross threads when going on. While you are waiting for the new one you may want to check it out and see if you can get it on do get you on the road.

I haven't received mine yet. Just ordered last week and still waiting for it. I'm not sure if members here do Mod Days where they just help each other doing mods. I typically help out but not much time these days. Took me a few weeks to even install my springs and I have my tranny and rear diff fluids waiting over two months now.

What is this talk about heat coming into the car through the shifter area? Im gonna install my shifter soon. Should i buy something to block the heat?
Also, how much does a shop charge for the installation?

I got my MGW installed by George himself last week. It took about 2 hours. I would of definitely had a hard time installing it myself (no lift, jackstands, tools, etc..) This was the 5th mod I've done to the car and as many on here have said, it should of been the first lol. The thing is so freakin awesome! It really does make the car feel faster and no missed shifts at WOT or driving normal. I daily drive my car and can't wait to get in it every single time! This shifter is a must for the S550! Do it now!!! You're the man George...Thanks again

During the installation I noticed he re-used the heat shield that came from ford and put another on top of that which comes with the shifter. As far as heat coming in...it's definitely no more that what already came in with the stock shifter.

cant do much about the heat since the exhaust runs right under the transmission tunnel
