The 5th gen ZL1 beat the GT500 in a majority of head to heads...due to the Cobra's terrible brakes and suspension set up.
False. And there has not been a Cobra Mustang since the 2004 model year.

Or just watch the comparison videos and realize most of them picked the ZL1 as the better overall car.
I think it's fair to say that a car could lose at least some or maybe even most of the performance metrics but still is the car you prefer. I drove a 1LE after hearing it was faster than the previous Mustang on a road course. I just didn't like the Camaro. It didn't matter to me that it was slightly faster with a pro driving it.

I didn't like the previous gen. SS Camaros for a bunch of reasons. Visibility, size of the vehicle, interior design, radio, even the prices of options - I felt like GM was sticking it to me if I decided to add options. And some of the options were "must have". Seriously $450 for a backup camera? With that fat butt a backup camera was a necessity! I've never driven a previous gen ZL-1, but I think for me it would have lost to the GT500 on most of the intangibles as well.

2013 GT500 had its share of things Ford overlooked, like not enough front tire, and not enough rear brake.. but those are kinda small compared to the ZL1 issues. Ok, it needed more rear tire too.

ZL1 had no more real world power than the CTS-V despite the 40hp jump. The much heavier CTS-V wagon was barely slower in the 1/4 mile. It was having cooling issues all the time. Even GM's bull video about how fast the ZL1 was showed them putting down enough VHT you could cut 1.7 60fts on bald all-seasons because the line was now made of glue. GM's bull video showed it barely getting a 11sec. 11.96 isn't a real solid 11sec car, double so when its from a prepped track. Run a 11.95 in stoplight conditions and Its a whole ton more impressive.

The one I remember that Tested the GT350R against much more expensive cars; chose the R because you get most of the performance of the others for half the cost (based on MSRP).

Price is a very measurable stat, because people can only afford what they can afford.

This is the article i was talking about but there were many others like it. My only point is that stats and numbers on a page are just that stats and numbers, HP, Tq, G-force, 60-0 don't cover everything that makes a car special, for instance none of these numbers speak to the sound of the engine, at the end of the article the conclusion was based on the sum of the parts and how well they all worked together, very much a "feel" and not just spec for spec comparison, in fact in the conclusion of the article it never mentioned the price at all, thats the cherry on top of the sunday but for them it was a straight evaluation of overall driving enjoyment and our car won.

Anyways this isn't meant to be argumentative, i just wanted to make my point that for me stats and specs on a webpage exist in a vacuum, i don't have the skill nor the desire to get to the level where i push the car to these limits and a 0.5sec 0-60 improvement is enough to make me get rid of my car in favor of another. I am all about the sum of the parts, and for that i care very much about the subjective enjoyment and how a car makes me feel.

I literally busted out laughing in the office. A female coworker said what and I told her.

"How do the two women win?" - I told her to tell her husband, he will get it lol.
