Thanks. I get nervous with this kind of stuff not fitting right after I put it back on. Body panels are finicky like that.
There's no adjusting on the bumper, so no worries there.

I'm feelin' ya. Seems like sometimes when I get involved in something tricky or time consuming, all of a sudden wrenches are getting launched across the garage and the most horribly abrasive, but yet comically creative language you've ever heard fills the garage like exhaust fumes when you're running the car with all the doors closed.

Hah so true. Imagine trying to design a part like this. :brokenheart:   :frusty:

Any plans for a bigger mouth kit for the S-550? I would gladly trim my grill fangs down some and it would allow a bigger more direct inlet path.
I threw the idea around with some of my R&D cars.

The cavity behind the grill has plenty of room for a much bigger converging section. So in theory the answer is yes a "bigger mouth" can be made if you totally removed the fang.

Take a look at the ecoboost grill, perfect example of how the bigger version would fit. The ecoboost doesnt have a fang, if you were to shave off the entire ecoboost grill you would be left with an open forward facing stock port, and that would be perfect for a huge gulping bigger mouth.

The question is, how many GT owners would want to remove their fang?

Removing the screws from behind the wheel arches are an absolute ball ache.

I completely removed the grill and the difference is really noticeable. The car picks up more quickly and the power delivery is much smoother. I was really shocked that I even noticed anything at all.

Or switch to the ecoboost grill which is only about $60

Remove it alltogether :paddle:

It was a total pain to dremel out the hexes on the ecoboost, it has a lot more of them and they are thicker. :amen:

Theres so much I want to do to this car... So little time...

Send me one I'll test it and data log it for you. I'm self tuned with hp tuners. I'm stock intake at the moment seeing around 44lbs/min.

You should definitely make one.
I got an ecoboost coming in today for another project, I think I may attempt to revive, no guarantees though

I thought about making one out of sheet metal but it will be more of a heat shield to keep hot radiator air from getting sucked into the inlet. It won't be a true ram air duct.

Make the inlet go inline the inside edge of the black plastic shroud piece in this picture.
