Got a buddy who did this, if he hadn't pointed it out to me I would have never guessed. After inspecting it - it looked factory...has had it on for a couple of months now.

The tips dont get as hot as the rest of the exhaust in my experience. I think it will work

I think this can be done! I think the melting point of plastidip can survive the heat conducted by the exhaust tips.

Don't listen to the FUD. I wouldn't put Plastidip on the mid-pipes or headers or engine where its really hot but the tips dont get that hot.

Dip is good up to 300 degrees or something around there. It's fine on exhaust tips.

It's just rubber even if it hypothetically melted it'd do no harm to the tips or any metal. Scrubs off.

I dipped my car, in central valley where we get by 200 degree weather (about 110 max real life).

Worse thing that could happen is... you didn't do enough layers and it cracks/peels, you can googone that thing easy. otherwise, you can tear the whole layer off and spray another set.

$5 can at homedepot for black way more cost effective than getting someone to wrap your car.

After you plasti-dip your exhaust you should use a sharpie to color that unsightly engine block and make sure you get matching scotch tape to hold your new turbo kit on.

I hate to say this, but they will be fine. A lot of people have done it and has held up for months, and in some instances for years. But I feel I have to give an honest answer, even as wrong as I think the idea is. Personally I would sand them and apply some VHT paint of your color preference.
