I've PD exhaust (mufflers & tips) in the past...Never had any problems with peeling or fading.

Yes i plastidiped my roush tips on my 2012, lasted about 2 years before i decide to peel it back off. Looked great up until the day i peeled it. People like to trash talk things without any personal knowledge of the subject.

It didn't melt at all on the roush tips. They didn't get very hot since double walled.

These pictures after about 20k miles on the DIP.

Has anybody plasti dipped their exhaust tips black? If so, how are they holding up and please post some pics. Thanks!
Is this a thing? Doesn't seem like dip would hold up to the heat worth a crap.
:lol::lol: the exhaust will melt the plasti dip
no... If you are looking for matte black, make sure everything is masked off well and use black grill paint or engine enamel.
"I'm melting, melting...
i love seeing know it alls get owned on the forum. especially people that think they're too good for plasti dip
I used Rustoleum brand plasti-paint on the exposed portion of the muffler and tips and it holds up perfectly fine (20,000 miles), even with the extra heat from catless long tubes and multiple hpde events.

We'd recommend ceramic coating, but if you like plastidip, go for it! Its your car to mod the way you choose
