Hey all,

I found the link for the replacement silicone elbow that people were using from ebay. Unfortunately it's no longer for sale and I went through the seller's listing to see if there was anything else like it. No dice.

So I want to make sure I have this correct. From the listing it needs to be an 89mm to 95mm? 3.5" to 3.75". Is that right? Because I can't find a single site that sells anything with those number. All I can find is 3.25" to 3.5" or 3.5" to 4". There seems to be no in between.

So if those are the correct numbers, does anyone have a link to where I can purchase a similar elbow? If those numbers are in fact wrong, please enlighten me.

Thanks so much.

Why don't you get one from Procharger?
I have the one from Procharger. With the recent failures, I don't feel safe leaving the car with my wife with the stock rubber elbow. Which is why I ordered the boost works one in the first place. But if it ends up not arriving next week, I would like to have a back up. But the only other replacement that anybody has seemed to use is the JDM silicone elbow from ebay, which isn't listed anymore.

That's strange I've never had a issue with mine. How many of them have failed on here. I saw one but I think that was the only one I've seen. I saw several with the original elbow.

Well there have been at least 3 on this forum. One was rockstang, who prochrager claims he didn't have either of their elbows. Another was aries, and the third was a customer of Travis at boost works. The last two confirm they had the most recent "upgraded" elbow from PC.

Procharger claims it is being caused by improperly installing the red race valve and it's pressing against the elbow, however Travis claims it was installed 100% correct, and aries doesn't even have a red race valve. And the scary part is the customer of Travis was running a D1 with 10 psi which is exactly what I'll be running.

No problem it is a little shorter than the one from Procharger but it will work. If mine does not come in by next weekend will try the heat and glass cleaner trick until mine comes in. The guy wants 22.00 for fast shipping on a couple of 31 dollar hoses.

If its not made of aluminum how do you know buying an elbow that's not designed for this kit won't fail? At least you know Procharger had tested theirs. These failures have been improper installation, or maybe just faulty material. Neither of which I would blame Procharger for. Everyone else including myself has had zero problems.

Because it's a fact that silicone hoses are stronger than rubber. And as mentioned above, the failures were not a result of improper installation. One didn't even have a red race valve to push against the elbow, and the other was installed by boost works (who I think are competent enough to trim a hose).

IF it was in fact faulty material, than the next logical step is to upgrade the material. If I can't have aluminum, I'd like to at least have silicone.

100% correct. Even if we installed our kits using prochargers hoses and some how the hose came off and ruined the head unit Procharger most likely would blame us and charge us to rebuild the head unit.

The hoses coming from Procharger should be silicone in my opinion and they should be already pre-cut the correct size instead of you cutting them to fit. That is my only issue with this kit so far. Next weekend I will be installing mine hopefully there aren't any other issues.

Also this hose is made for a turbo kit so I think we are fine.

I agree with you guys on the rubber vs silicon thing. My concern with rubber is over time it drying and cracking. Let me know how the new elbow fits.
