You were not the installing dealer. The installing dealer seems questionable based on the entire experience posted here and how it arrived at your doorstep. How have you ruled out any potential problem with the install?

The installing dealer couldn't get the car running properly (tune related). When it arrived, the bypass valve was installed in the correct location. So, I think that the install was done correctly in terms of placement and fitment.

Why would I call you when all you're going to do is tell me there isn't an issue, or that we installed it incorrectly?
Well, you would call because just like in any industry...

1) We want to get the customer taken care of ASAP.

We staff a large phone staff of really really awesome guys (and gals) that man the phones 8:30-5:30 M-F, for just this reason. To resolve issues asap.

2) We can then generate a service log (which can be tracked) Then all details can be logged, and we can look back on this. But also track to see the frequency of an issue.

3) We can then generate and RMA# so that we can get the defective part back, So that we can find out if there is infact a quality issue, or something else going on. (In this case a OEM hose made by Gates)

4) We could overnight you a new part, Which would be logical in this situation, since no other customers or vendors have an issue with this current inlet until now.

5) We can then asses if the unit needs to come back for repair, or checked out and how to best handled this odd, and rare case.

All and all the phone call is the fastest way to get the customer taken care of, and get everyone on the same page. Just like any part made, in any industry.

It's not the only time this has happened either, which is why your denial really is disturbing.
No, this IS the first time to the best of my knowledge, and the tech guys here in the office. We have literally ZERO reports of any failures with the reinforced inlet since it was put into production.

Instead of apologizing for the issue, you've managed to call us liars, insinuate that we can't install your rubber inlet properly, and that we have ulterior motives for making this thread in the first place. You are not our vendor.
Never said you didn't have a good rep. Not even in the slightest.

But you nailed it on the head.

1) You are not a vendor of ours.
2) You make not 1, but 3 competing products.
3) You didn't even wait a few hours to call us when we opened to discuss.
4) But went out of your way to make a thread bashing us.
5) Then promoted your product on the first 2 pages of this thread.

So how else would a person look at this?
You have to admit... it seems/seemed fishy.

I understand the need to run damage control. But people have a right to know.
One failure out of hundreds/thousands is hardly "damage control"

And for the rare, rare issues. Just like Ford has a warranty for the Mustangs, thats what we have warranty for with our systems.

Just like Ford relies on dealerships to fix small issues with cars they manufacture. We rely on shops, or customers to bring small issues to our attention, so that we can address them, and get it handled.

But every time a Mustang breaks a part, techs at dealerships aren't calling Ford demanding them to redesign the mustang. (Yes, if an issue happens a lot and is tracked, updates are made during the models lifespan)

We have a solid reputation here. Our vendors love to deal with us.
Even though your current vendors might be stoked with your operations. Just know a lot of people read these threads, and one of them might just be a company your wanting to work with in the future.

And as I stated in my previous post, starting threads like this are NOT what any manufacture looks for in a potential vendor.

In the end, this thread was forwarded to my email.
By another COMPANY in this industry.

Again, sorry for your frustration. Nobody likes seeing a broken part.
Though I assure you a 5 min phone call would have been the best results for your customer, and ours.

**EDIT**

I'm not doing this anymore.. Someone from ATI can contact me if they want to talk.

We did not start this with the intention of bashing ATI. We didn't start this to sell a product. Period.

I can see both sides of the issue here, but threads like this with the back & forth banter looks bad for both companies.

Let's just kill this thread and move on...

You're absolutely right at this point. And, I won't participate any longer. ATI can contact me if they want to discuss it.
