That's a loaded question with a lot different ways to set up an application for different purposes. The main advantage for a single is less costly, with twin you have 2 turbos, wastegates, more piping ect. Single turbos were also away to make things simple & more room friendly but with the twins that are coming out nowadays are very thought out especially with the under mounts putting the turbos in place of the cats. It's very good way to defeat the heat because the car is already reinforced for heat in those areas. These turbo company have it figured out with ball bearings, billet wheels A/R, piping size & ect. turbo lag is almost a thing of the past now. Even with the bigger single turbos they can hit just as hard as PD's especially loaded with stalls or brake boosting & 2 steps. What are advantages and disadvantages of a single turbo vs twins
