Have read a lot of info about axle back mufflers and X pipes. Here is what I have, ROUSH Axle Back Mufflers with a custom X Pipe from Loper's. Listened to a lot of sound clips on this set-up and they don't sound like my car. Just maybe they are right and my Mustang has obnoxiously loud sound. Was thinking of two different alternatives, replace Roush with stock mufflers or FORD Performance Touring Mufflers. All the sound clips don't do any justice.
Have lots of time to decide. The Mustang is getting an oil change tomorrow 7/14/16, then a good wash, inside clean and leather treat the seat before storage on 7/31/16. It will be a 6 month storage due to health issues that I don't want to bore you. Just we keep a modest sound, no racing or waking the dead involved. Thank you in advance for all your input.

If the Roush with x-pipe is too loud for you, why don't you just put the resonator back in?

I agree.
The Roush mufflers sound great with the stock resonator.

checkout these links for the Roush with stock resonator video:

I swapped my Roush with Ford racing touring and was very happy with it. Then decided to swap the whole catback out for the MBRP race really only because I got a sweet deal on it. The FRPP touring is a great setup for a daily driver, actually have mine for sale if you go that route

When the oil change was completed and the service rep drove my car out from the service bay, I just had to smile. What a sound! Never heard my car driven by anyone else. Sound clips seem to all sound the same. Now my previous Harley was loud and I lived with that. I guess I will save that money and buy something else for the Mustang. "For Now".

I had Borla ATAKs from 11-14 welded in with a H pipe. It was crazy loud and had no drone. Definitely turned heads. I liked it at first but then it got to be too obnoxious. Picked up the S Type catback from Nathan here. Love it. It's a great medium for daily driving. It can be loud when I feel like redlining around town and subdued when I'm just trying to get home from work after a long day.

Id be happy to let you hear them some time if you ever make it out to the east valley.

I was hesitant to put on an H-pipe.

Now that I've done it, I really wish I had done it earlier.

It's about as loud as the GT350 in track mode.

Changed my mind, again. Have an appointment on July 26 for a new completed exhaust system. I will take before and after pictures so all can see the change. Will put the ROUSH axle back on sale when completed. Counting down the days until the car goes into storage and not much time to spare. "10 days" until lower lumbar fusion.

I'm very happy with my Roush and stock resonator. Gets a lot of compliments too if that's your thing.

I have the MBRP race catback but I'm thinking about cutting off the mufflers and putting Roush mufflers on.

If it is too unbearable, throw the stock mid pipe in there and it should be perfect!

I have kind of a weird question. Has anyone tried roush ab with LTs and stock resonator? Haven't seen that set up. Would there be a lot of loss in HP gains if this set up is used? And what would the volume be like? I know with the resonator delete the exhaust would be silent since you would blow out your ear drums, but would leaving the resonator in quiet it down a lot? Not really sure if it makes sense leaving the stock resonator in as I don't know how it would affect performance.

At the moment I have roush ab and they sound great with the stock resonator
