I have kind of a weird question. Has anyone tried roush ab with LTs and stock resonator? Haven't seen that set up. Would there be a lot of loss in HP gains if this set up is used? And what would the volume be like? I know with the resonator delete the exhaust would be silent since you would blow out your ear drums, but would leaving the resonator in quiet it down a lot? Not really sure if it makes sense leaving the stock resonator in as I don't know how it would affect performance.

At the moment I have roush ab and they sound great with the stock resonator
Stock resonator is straight through so no power loss. Sound wise that's highly subjective but it should sound decent to most people's ears.

I was running this setup until this morning because the x pipe was too loud. The volume is 100% controllable while cruising and loud at WOT. Only problem was that I hated the tone. I went and had a MagnaFlow 11385 tru x muffler welded in today and it sounds fantastic but maybe a little too quiet. Smooth tone and no rasp.

Stock resonator is out of the question and want nothing to do with it. Roush axle back was and still is a well made pipe, but want to go in a different direction. Will post picks when I get home Monday July 25.

Back from the install shop and here is my exhaust choice. I know not everyone will like this choice, but I could not be happier. Sound and looks are perfect. Best setup for my taste. "MagnaFlow 19100"

Great choice especially if you ever plan on doing long tubes and no cats.

Does JBA still use chambered mufflers? I remember the SN197 version was a chambered muffler and they were louder than the big oval magnaflows.

I think it is chambered, yes. It's a very deep tone at low rpm (almost too much, to be honest) and idle, and seems to sound like most of the Magnaflow setups that I've heard video of when you get on it. I know my setup with an X-pipe is overall quieter than a Borla S-type catback, though, but probably in between the Touring and the S-type for volume.

Probably a bit louder than the magnaflow street system but not quite as loud as the competition system.

I'd be interested in finding out if Magnaflow ever releases their Street axle-back.
