Lots of people sure are worried about what there neighbors think or say. My loud exhaust last for 60 sec tops leaving my house in the morning but the whole damn neighborhood of barking dogs goes on all day and night so I couldn't care less what anyone thinks about how loud my Roush are.

NO! It is called respect for the law and people in your neighborhood along with anyone else annoyed by loud vehicles.
Sorry to hear about the exhaust troubles OP, that they are not par to your liking.

I do agree with your statement, in bold above...but to a point. Not all of us who chose to get a loud exhaust are out to scare children, wake up babies / elderly, & piss off the neighbors or LE. These mufflers (in my case, running an H-Pipe) are more than easily manageable; sucks that you can't do it. Lots of folks on here with the same set up that equally have no issues running theirs & still be respectful of others.

No need to paint everyone as an a$$hole with such a broad brush.

With the resonator they're not loud at all..... take that resonator off like the op is talking about and you will see what he means.

This is the key. With the stock resonator still in place, they Roush is actually not that loud, moderate increase in tone over stock. Once we did the Lethal resonator delete on our 15, it REALLY woke it up which I thought was amazing since we still had the stock manifolds and cats in place. It definitely get's louder with a resonator delete, but IMO, it's not excessive, but I can see how it may be for someone else. I personally liked it a lot. :D

I guess if you're leaving at 6am in the morning every day then it could potentially cause some issues, but that sucks because they sound so great at all other times throughout the day except for the 1-2 minutes when you're leaving in the morning.

There have been a few times where I've had to leave that early in the morning, and I can still manage to start up the car, put it in drive, and just ease my way out of the apartment complex from the very back to the front. I'm actually impressed at how quiet the car can be when you want it to be.

Damn I just ordered these. That bad?
I have the Borla Ataks, I drive nice and gentle out of the hood until I hit the open road. Are they loud? Only when really getting on it. It makes the mustang sound like an American made kick ass muscle car. what do people around me think? I don't care what they think. Stereos, partiers at all hours, ass holes kids screaming and running around. im just going to add to the party and not care, unless they want to make my car payment for me.

It sounds like a monster. Is that bad?
don't be such a puss, drive your car the way it was built to be driven and enjoy the money you are spending to have an American icon...

I went from Roush with x pipe to Borla atak and the Borla has less volume but the sound is cleaner.

I love my Roush AB's with MRT h pipe. Never had any complaints from my neighbors (I live in apts) and like everyone else said, the sound is definitely controllable with throttle. I actually plan to add some LT's in the near future. Just hoping I don't lose the spit and crackle you get from the AB's on decel.

I had roush axlebacks on my s197. They were loud to me. I swapped to gt500's. Not sure what the equivalent would be on the s550. GT500's + boss quad exhaust =AWESOME sound.
I have a 2014 GT that I originally put the Roush AB on. At first it was awesome but after some time they were starting to wear on me because of how loud they would get under certain driving conditions.

I'm now running the GT500 AB with resonator delete and it's now perfect.

The sound is all subjective. Some people will think it's loud and others will not. The only way to know is to live with them for awhile.

I wish there was a muffler for the S550 that is the equivalent of the S197 GT500 mufflers. I'll be running SP longtubes with no cats and the FRPP x pipe. Gonna try it with stock mufflers first and see how it sounds.

I am sure GT350 mufflers will work.

Installed my Roush axlebacks on monday, which are coupled with res-delete X-pipe... sound is f'n amazing. Cold start up is a bit loud, but once the rpm's drop and she warms up after a couple min's, it is barely louder than stock idle.. you can absolutely control how loud it gets.. i live in a pretty cramped apartment complex, and cruising around very light on the pedal is no issue at all.. what i love so much about the Roush w/ X is how I can be sitting at a stop light, and no one around me knows of the impending demonic roar that is about to engulf the intersection when the light turns green.. lol. they are very loud, and very aggressive, but omg it is heaven to my ears.. keep the rpm's under 2 grand and it is not obnoxious at all..

This! Yes! Same here man. It's nice and quiet at a stop, but if you're the first car at the red light, everyone's definitely going to hear it when you push it when the light turns green.

Honestly, I rarely use my radio just because I love the sound of the exhaust so much. Not sure if that's weird or what, but just like you say, it's music to the ears!
