I will be aiming for 5th gear, but stock clutch is just about done. It's slipping on hard shifts, but still seems to grab while in gear. If I'm getting any slip in 5th, I'll have to to to 4th. It'll change torque, but I don't give a fu*k about total numbers. Just before/after.

I will say that hood open ABSOLUTELY does help with an open top intake. But I do also think that, even with a fan, it's hard to replicate the fresh air moving into the box from the grille at 0-100mph.

Hood open/closed shouldnt affect the stock intake in any way since it's sealed to the grille.

Thanks for the quick shipping, installed and ready to test out tonight when the temps get under 95+. I installed the MAF like Dev since it makes the most sense in that position.
This is the way it's intended to be installed.

I have lurked and intently followed this thread. Since Corsa is taking their sweet time getting their cat backs for the verts to market I have really been itching for CAI and tune but really wanted some kind of proof if the CAI's do much of anything on this car before dropping the money or just waiting until I do headers to get a tune and just use a drop in filter.
Big thank you and good luck today to dev1360! I hope for you and for PMAS that you show some gains. Although I'd never expect much from a CAI, if it proves to help even the slightest then as the mod list grows it should only continue to help so if you show some gains I will be contacting one of the forum vendors pretty soon.
Again thanks for going out of your way to help some others out dev1360!

Dev1360 can't wait to see your results. I've been on the fence about getting a CAI w/ a Lund tune. If you show some gains I'm definitely on board.

Not bad 11whp 8 Wtrq which is on par for most intakes I've seen dynoed. Open hood made slightly more likely due to combo of more air getting to the filter and that air was slightly cooler most likely which helps.
