So, I know I can't be the first person to bring this up, but I don't see it mentioned anywhere on the Internet:

Has anyone tried fitting a transmission cooling air scoop to the 350? Like this one:

Not sure if it's just an issue of retrofitting and people have tried this already but it doesn't fit. Regardless, I figured I'd bring it up.

Someone already tried and it didn't help.

Nothing helps except getting the coolers .

That's insane. I can't believe the scoop didn't drop temps enough to matter.
The tranny is heating up inside on the front cluster

she got back to me. On my next oil change the dealer closest to me will hopefully look at the car, but frankly I'm not sure what they will be able to do. runs fine, just hot and that doesn't appear to be something anyone has actually resolved without a actual cooler. I will accept a fluid flush and retest but I'm not sure that will effect much. Looks like a heat wave coming in too.

In my experience dealing with a dealer that didn't sell you the car is a crap shoot.

Thanks guys/gals (sorry, I just want to be politically correct ). I know what you mean about different dealers.

I got mine last friday and i have already put on 500 miles on her and driving her hard too. So far so good.

Good luck!!

I really wish Ford would come out with some sort of official statement regarding their intent to or not to offer some sort of a fix. It's kind of concerning that every person who has talked to Ford seems to get a unique answer. (Ranging from 'no solution coming' to 'two solutions coming -- one no at no cost'.)

I gotta ask . . . Has anyone with the heat issue actually check to see if the fluid level in the trans was topped off?
I know the fill plug is not in a very easy spot to get to, but that would be the first thing I would check.
