I think it does apply if you are using all ford components, the line/cooler kit fittings should match up fine at the cooler whether you are changing transmission or not. Now, the fittings at the transmission and external pump might be another story...doesn't apply since I'm not replacing the tranny, but thanks. thats a great find. i am doing the cooler and pump w an fittings but can't get the lines to connect to the cooler due to the funky connection ford uses.:ford:
Ford. THats the issue. The ford uses a weird fittingAre they using the factory heat exchanger or aftermarket?

Unclear on what you're installing but I'd go with AN lines at all connections. A bit more expensive but worth it. If you got the OEM cooler, the lines are useless. It either won't work at the pump or cooler if you use factory lines one or the other. My issues is the cooler

Can that fitting be swapped out?Tank- I am installing the Oem tranny cooler and Tilton pump. I need to get the fragola braided line to connect to the oem cooler but the oem cooler doesn't use an AN fitting. See pic above. Any ideas are appreciated.
Uh, there you go. Apparently, there's a bung involved.
I think some have cut it just below the flange. I also heard the TK Autosoorts has an adapter but I don't know of anyone that has used oneCan that fitting be swapped out?
Looks like it's a press line on and band clamp?? Not good.
