NO BRAINER

I understand but my dealer's service manager is such a no it all on this car you cannot talk to him.
His answer is what do you expect. This is normal. Excuse after excuse.

Before I went back in April with the car for overall check out, first oil change and splitter install. I set an appointment for the car and asked the service manager about all the above. He told me the oil and filter were standard items they had in stock and splitter is a no brainer. Of course I forwarded the install video that was on the forum so they did it correctly.
Long story short. Car was in dealer for 3 days? Why? No oil or filter. Splitter took longer than they thought which was still installed wrong!

The dealer is nice but the service manager does not care. I pointed out a chipped rim and scratches and chips in the beginning on delivery and they won't cover it! Their way around it was to buy some protection package that covered dents, rim damage etch and they will get it covered. I paid an additional $1200 for this to get other items they said Ford won't cover to be covered. Waiting since dealer told me they ordered the replacement parts. I feel I was scammed but hopefully will get these items fixed. It's going on a month now and waiting for front wheel, new complete bumper assembly w splitter.

Love the car but getting to hate all the lies that seem to go with it.

I also never PPF'd my car because service manager said it voids external body warranties. I'm glad I didn't do it right off the bat because the dealer probably wouldn't be supposedly replacing front bumper because of that excuse. Just exhausting on what we are getting told.
DAMMIT! There's only one thing worse than a service mgr. that doesn't know dick: and that's a service mgr. that doesn't know dick + an attitude! Front splitter a no-brainer? LOL. Only if it is installed by a NO-BRAINER!!

Reading all this saddens me. I had an LS7, that GM wouldn't stand behind. I've had a 350z that consumed oil and Nissan would stand behind it. I had a 335i with issues that BMW never fixed. I really am hoping ford does us right. If so, I'll buy Ford forever. If not, this will be my last Ford, and I'll move on to Porsche or something. I love this car, but the company needs to right it's wrongs. Building a track car, that can't handle being driven hard, is inexcusable.
That's the craziest part... look at EVERYTHING that they put even on the base model: Same brakes as all the other models, same tires as the Tech and Track Packs, the under-car aero, engine oil cooler, Recaros, etc.

This car, regardless of trim or options, is built for the track and everything is ready to go, but then they skimp on the transmission cooler. Ridiculous.

I love Porsches but look at the fiasco that occurred with 997.1 engines from 2005-2008. All mfgs make mistakes and all screw their customers from time to time. I believe you will be moving on from every manufacturer from A to Z.

Yeah! And that service manager is exactly the second one. Also after the major bumper/splitter mis install and screw up I went back to show him exactly the damage from the screws and brought him the splitter install video on USB. I wanted to show him the damage and of course he wanted me to leave the car a few days. I would not and just wanted him to see what was done. He would not even look at the car. I then gave him the USB with the video and guess what he did with it? He through it right into the garbage. That really pissed me off because he really didn't want to deal with this car. I went to the GM who listened and said they would take care of it. Waiting for the parts to come in so I can get the car fixed. Just disgusted a person like this actually has a job ANYWHERE.

I don't drive car much since this because I don't want to hear anymore excuses however I already told the dealer they need to get this done asap or I will start looking elsewhere for my new car. I already have spent $100k with this dealership and need another new car. Been waiting for the new Lincoln Continental for business and just don't get how they don't care. Confusing?

Should make a recording of the conversation & call Ford corporate. Don't forget to put it on YouTube also!

Actually that is what I'm doing with the dealer. Letting them make good on this. The GM said he would and since I travel a lot on business that is what ill do.
In the end if this goes sideways it will be the dealer's and Ford's loss especially the dealers since I buy about 2 new mid high $ us cars a year and a new toy every 18 months or so.
Right now I'm waiting on the dealer to get me pricing for a 17 Lincoln Continental to buy as 1 of my main business travel cars. If not a thought about a Jaguar, BMW or an Audi for the first time.

I am addimant about superb quality, product, customer service and support. Since this is expected out of me by over 2000 of my corporate clients I expect the same and since the equipment I sell starts at $80k and goes to $500k there is no excuse. I just think some people are lazy and BS their way through life. Unexcusable!

Not to diminish what you are going through, but as somebody else mentioned, every brand has issues like this. Both with CS and problems with the vehicles. I've read of other people who have had to lawyer up to get BMW to act on a few different issues recently. Basically because they were told to pound sand like you and others here. It sucks, but that is what consumer protection laws are for and unfortunately lawyers sometimes.

I may have missed this, but why are you not trying a different dealer instead of dealing with this ego maniac?

The reason I'm staying with this dealer so far is because they put the splitter on completely wrong and ruined my bumper. They did this and if I bring this to another dealer they will not cover this. Reason is this is not warranty. This is damage my dealer did putting on the splitter. I am giving them the opportunity to fix this before I go to Ford. If they don't step up in the next week or two then I will go to Ford. Thanks for the info

This all sucks but, I am hopeful that Ford will do the right thing by its buyers. Crazyfish, I like your approach. Getting all riled up intitially would only make things worse. I always give someone the opportunity to make things right. If they refuse, then we take it up a notch. To anyone here, if your car goes into limp mode on the street and they tell you there is no problem or, tell you that you should have bought a track pack, go right to Ford customer service. Esculate as soon as possible. While there are some things Ford cant control, there are other issues they can get fixed pronto

Agreed. All mechanical devices may have issues. Since I have had to take care of my customers on items like this I understand and try to have patience and hopefully everything works out in the end.
