good god! got the car all buttoned back up. The computer is still re-learning after the headers, but no CELS ( kooks w/ green cats). it stumbles a tad and idle dips a little from time to time, but it is smoothing out the more i drive it. I figure that I'll put another 50 miles or so on it, then check for leaks, re-torque the header bolts and finally install the locks ( used stage8 locking fasteners that came with the header kit)

The car sounds like hell's fury with the kooks headers and magnaflow exhaust in sport mode. The raspiness is back above 3500 rpm, but its a different raspy, a sexier one!

the only problem that I'm having is the magnaflow mufflers rattling like hell in "normal" mode. I sent a note to magnaflow to get some help on it. I took the actuators back off the mufflers and found that the actuator platforms on the mufflers was loose. I backed the screws out one at a time, added high heat locktite, then tightened them back down. I then made an attempt to get a little more tension on the spring in closed mode. to my dismay, while the butterfly isnt quite as rattle-y, it still rattles.

being that I still have a few hours left of the weekend, I'm going to let the car cool down for a while, then install a few other bits that have been sitting.

the header install is not for the feint of heart. The driver's side is a breeze, but the passenger side is a serious son of a bitch.

One thing that i did notice, for any of you that are thinking about the mishimoto oil filler cap.... don't do it. it doesnt lock positively and as the fill port gets warm under normal use, it expands faster than the metal fill cap. the fill cap will start to work loose and you'll be greeted with oil splatters in your engine compartment when it eventually comes off.

Washed it waxed it. Got it looking perty. Noticed my splitter has a gap in it between body. Think dealer didn't put it in right. Also dialed in the sound system some more. Went for a cruise and some douche bag in a 2012 race red 5.0 comes flying up on me at over 100mph in a 25 mph zone and almost rear ends me and then jumps to the side lane and cuts me off and speeds off. What an idiot. Where are the cops when you really want them?

Nice thing happened. Went to McD's for a drink and had a bunch of kids shooting picks and videos of car and giving me the thumbs up.

Not to mention the debri and stones the dipshit probably threw at your car.

Checked it out when I got home. Its fine. Just some people are a holes. The guy who flew past me is probably posting somewhere how he blew the doors off a new Shelby. I was hoping he was on the forum so he can really feel like a big dumb ass. I just shake my head.

Had the windows tinted and a proper sound system installed. Who makes the nicest aftermarket (R) wing. Would prefer an "exact" replica

today i installed my BMR adjustable Toe Rods and my Steeda Adjustable camber Arms.

I also fixed some exhaust interference that I was getting between 2500-3500 rpm. Didnt have the kooks mid pipes cut quite short enough for the magnaflow axle back to be aligned perfectly. took about an inch off one of the pipes, put it all back together and viola!

Now I'm down to installing adjustable front sway bar links and my coolers for this round.

I also have a bunch of replacement bushings for the rear suspension in boxes, but after i get the coolers in, i want to take a break from wrenching for a while and just drive it.

Last parts that I'm lusting after are the ford RSD, MGW's shifter and vorschlag camber plates.

This is almost funny. :cheers:We pretty much have all the same mods minus a few differences in brands. I'm also thinking of changing my BMR rear lower control arm bearings to Cortex. Cortex makes front and rear control arm bearings. Still waiting for BMR to make the fronts and camber links. Vorshlag should have the camber plates soon. I called them Friday.
