What a pain in the !@#. There's just no way to follow the directions that come with the clutch spring, believe me I tried to five times and still had no luck. So, I took matters into my own hands and figured I would give the ol' dremel tool a shot, it worked perfectly. I lined the interior with some clean rags because I knew the sparks may cause an issue due to the insulation being under the dash where the pedals are located, didn't want to catch the car on fire. So, I leaned up under the dash as best as I could to get a comfortable positon and began to cut through the middle coil at a slow pace because I figured it was under tension and may "pop" once I made it though the coil. Just as I thought it did "pop" and the tension was released with no issues and the entire piece came out with no issue. I highly recommend trying this way after you attempt to follow the directions a couple of times to see if you can get it out without breaking anything.

Well, at least I have a dremel I guess. I have the Steeda spring sitting on my counter at home. I've been nervous about breaking the plastic bits.

That looks great. I like that you only painted the recess instead of the entire brace. Should look killer in the engine compartment.

Thanks. I didn't want to over do it with the orange. I've seen some where I felt it was overkill. I did this with my deep impact blue 2014 before I traded it in and thought it was just the right amount of color.

I'm going to paint the engine cover black tonight and then do the stripe insert section on the sides in orange as well. Once I have that done, I'll put the pieces back on and grab a few pics.

Got rid of that suitcase called a resonator and replaced it with an x-pipe. Hopefully will tide me over until I decided on a cat back/axle back.
