My grandfather had a crow he raised from an abandoned chick. I swear that it was smarter than any of his dogs.

That is the weirdest thing I've ever heard.

Crows.....lol

I have a love hate relationship with those guys...

I have an acquaintance that has a corvid (the scientific for the family crows come from including ravens) and its an eerily intelligent bird that continuously seems to try and lead his owner to awkward and interesting scenarios. They are highly intelligent, and when folks have made friends with wild crows, they have been know to bring gifts, shiny things, and watch over people - a young lady lost her camera lens cap while taking a photo set and the damb crow brought it back.

On the other hand, as a falconer I have had a mob of crows chase off one of my falcons and seem to attract the attention of those buggers to the tune of 50 to a hundred circling over my head when I am out with my birds.....

My hawk thinks they look like competition and would be more than happy to chase them down!

Cats generally wont scratch cars. I've had em get on my hood before - in the Stang it doesnt matter as its clear-bra'd.

Reason they dont scratch is unlike dogs, they have retractable claws that only go out if they are losing grip or wanting to hunt. Now if you're hood is freshly waxed....

LOL on the crane story!!!

I love you lot, you are all totally Cuckoo :D
We have crows in the countryside where i live, they hop up on the window frame, I often throw them biscuits, have Never seen or heard of them attacking people or cars. As for Cats, they love a warm engine, but other than paw prints are harmless

It's true about the crows. My aunt had them. The black bastards are pretty smart. As far as animals go anyways.

Some crows, like New Zealand parrots, seem to like the taste of the rubber on windshield wipers. I had a wiper ripped apart once by a crow...scared him away and had to replace the wiper.

It's no bs on how powerful those parrots are. A cousin has a Hyacinth Macaw. The whole nuts that that bird breaks open is amazing. It would have no problem taking off a finger. And that's why I don't go near it.
