So after reading every thread i can find on paint films i had it narrowed down to xpel ultimate and suntek.Correct me if I am wrong. The xpel will offer the superior stone chip protection as it is thicker.The xpel has a more aggressive adhesive so it is more labour intensive to remove when the time comes.The sunteck is clearer and glossier so it tends to look better.The sunteck is easier to apply usually resulting in a better application.Now i have to read up on Hexis bodyfence?? The other is that Xpel goes on a little yellow and a texture to it Suntek goes on clear and feel like Liguid glass no yellow or oranger peel affect and can stretch a lot.

I just got back a quote today for Suntek: $1400 for bumper,hood and mirrors, and $4500 for whole car!!:headbonk::headbonk:

Anyone have some recommended installers in Chicagoland area? Feel like I need to shop around on this.

Yeah, the rest of the car wasn't as shiny as the front end, the layer of film obviously adds some depth to it (especially on mine since its white).

Make sure they are highly reputable. Best high quality shop I found in the bay charged $1900/$6500

That's a pretty good price. Preference? Xpel. No one around here uses Suntek - don't know why. Don't forget to ask about a bodywork guarantee - free replacement of the film if you need body/paint work on a panel. BTW, are you getting the rocker panels done?

I didn't know there was such a thing. So if you get into an accident and a Xpel/Suntek protected panel is damaged, they'll replace it?

It's just part of the Xpel package from the installer, at no extra charge, and for the warranty period. If you need to have a panel repaired that requires removing the film, they'll replace the film at no charge - no matter where you get the bodywork done.

Wow OK, thanks. I did check out this shop and they are reputable and well established. I'm thinking I would go with the front for Suntek, and then Cquartz for the remainder of the car.

Which ceramic coating did you use? I'm looking at CQuartz myself. Still debating if I'm going to do the clear bra.

Take a road trip if you have a passport 3900.00 Canadian the whole car and spoiler Suntek or Xpel your choice that's about 3100.00 US dollars or can send you the complete car in a tube cut just put it on.

How much in US $ for the complete car in materials shipped? Although a 5,400 mile road trip to have you install might be quite the adventure for me Ill have to pass. If I still lived in Chicago though it would be a no-brainer. Thanks for all your knowledge shared with these products!

You ok with Suntek it's the same money lays down better with stripes heals better around the stripes.
