Got my V6 delivered yesterday, drove it about 160 miles so far, and I couldn't be happier that I didn't choose the EB. Sounds great in the cabin, even with the stock exhaust system. The interior is a very nice place to be even with the base system. Break in period... I didn't really listen :D

1. Ingot Silver or Oxford White . . . Silver

2. rear parking sensor or no rear parking sensor . . . Not needed if it has a backup camera.

3. manual or automatic (first vehicle in my life) . . . Manual. Might as well learn when you're young and your driving hasn't been set too firmly in a "slap it in D and go" pattern.

4. x-pipe or muffler delete only . . . X-pipe only at first. Won't change the tone on a V6 much, though, just makes it a bit louder. Do that first and go from there after living with it for a while, and save the mufflers and what-not if you do a muffler delete just in case you change your mind again later.

You're going to regret getting the V6 later. Just go the whole 9 yards and get the GT. You'll be happy that you did.
^^^

I got the V6 and I did regret it a few months later, but now not so much. I think about it and I realized that it's all I can afford. An extra $10k for the GT is not exactly pocket change for me, not only that but the cost of ownership is higher...gas, tires, maintenance, insurance, monthly payment, etc..
Plus I enjoy my V6, great looking car, has enough power, doesn't sound bad, manual, gets a lot of looks and compliments.

I think really the only downside to getting a V6 is the crap you'll hear from others car guys. If no one talked crap about the V6 im sure most V6 owners wouldn't regret their purchase. Other than that most people don't even really care that my car is a V6, hell most people cant even distinguish the difference unless they ask me. To normal folk...a Mustang is a Mustang.

But yes this guy is 100% right, you will regret getting a V6, but if you think about the positives....you'll eventually learn to love it.

1.) I would get the white silver is too reflective cops love it for laser :)
2.)I have the sensor because the car came with it really not needed with the camera.
3.)Automatic it is actually quicker on these cars. Honestly this one is personal preference if you sit in lots of traffic get the auto for sure.
4.) no preference personally would do other things first so leaving this for others comments.

Would also consider the Ecoboost myself. Easier to get extra power out of it cheap and less weight. Plus you can get more options like the performance pack (something I regret not getting).

Glad you made a more sensible choice.

Congratulations on your choice.

I'm guessing it to be nearly as quick as my '08 GT with a better ride.

Sixxers have a sound all their own, and time was when a 6-cylinder sports car was upper-level stuff for the category (Datsun 240Z) or pretty much top shelf, period (Jaguar XKE).

Norm - you nailed it - I went from an '06 GT to '15 V6 - very comparable in power and the ride/handling are night and day better. I do love the rumble of the old V8 but the sound of the six winding out to the higher redline is addictive!

I really wish I would of gotten that 051a V6 Manual in Magnetic... :'(

I had that exact car as my desktop background since the S550 was released almost 2 years ago.. then 1 week before getting my car (Oct 10th, 2015) my desktop changed to a black Ecoboost PP.. Lol.

Trade up to a GT.

I regretted getting my Black V6 Manual and wished I had gotten the GT. Now I don't care so much.

I think the V6 is a fantastic engine and might be the best deal all around considering bang for buck and reliability. That cyclone engine is bulletproof, fast, responds well to bolt-ons, and (here's the biggest advantage over the EB) it sounds awesome! Basically sounds like a Maserati when the right exhaust is put on.

If something happened to my GT and I got a payout from the insurance, I'd probably buy a V6 and supercharge it... call it a day. I'd save money and still have a car that's faster than my stock GT and sounds unique and brutal, all at the same time.

True, the only real downside to getting the V6 is all the crap you hear from people who probably don't even own a Mustang.

Thanks for all the help guys, gonna start shopping again!
My final decision is gonna be :
1. white/silver depend on which one is on dealer's lot
2. no parking sensor
3. manual
4. Muffler delete first
