I would look into the CTS-V heat issues. I would be scared sh!tless finding out an LT4 is headed into my favorite car. Heat, heat and more heat...

You might get 550 of those 640 horse. The CTS-V had 6 or 7 coolers...

It's going to be a $75,000 car... too bad.
:repost: the car ran lap after lap and stopped for gas and ran for two hours total....NO heat issues . Thank the Corvette engineers for this solution.

I solved the problem of rolling my eyes at his posts by blocking him.

He's a guy who makes up "facts" with zero sources and disappears for a couple months when he's proven wrong.
Oh crap, you can do that? How do I block him from ruining every thread he comes in to with his misinformation?

46k for a Mustang GT?

Sorry.
I am sorry that you are sorry. Reading is not your strong point is it? MSRP does not equal what I paid. Since you are the inquiring type...

I got $5250 off my car when I bought it. Ordered it the day the order banks opened in 2014 which was in May and picked it up on Dec 19, 2014. X-plan pricing plus $2250 off in rebates from Ford.

I love how much value and worthy contributions you bring to this forum. Keep up the good work:doh:
The Mustang is an awesome car and I gladly paid what he did when I bought mine.
Yep. They are phenomenal cars. Mine is now 3-5 steps higher with all the suspension mods and wheel/tire upgrades that I have done.

GT350R to me is still the preference over the new ZL1... IMO the R also looks better.

I agree on both statements.

The ZL1 from a performance standpoint is going to be a great car that will also be a great daily driver and terror on the streets.

The GT350R is for sure the track monster and it just looks :love::love::love::love:. Heck, the S550 looks :love::love::love::love:

The new ZL1 is very nice, and I'm sure it's going to perform well..

But it's really nothing revolutionary, and introduces nothing NEW to the American market.

The 10 speed is a shared project between Ford and GM, and Ford debuted it with the Raptor. All the ZL1 is, essentially, is a new 1LE with the LT4 and larger brakes and different wheels. It's got the PDR though, so that's cool.

The GT350 had a brand new, unique motor, carbon fiber wheels (in the GT350R), and several new segment firsts.

GM did what they always do, lazily copy and pasting parts from other cars into the Camaro and call it a miracle.

No one is saying it is revolutionary. For the record I think this parts bin simpleton of a car will beat the 350R around a road course. GM was saying that they were trying to beat the gen 5 Z28 with this new ZL1 and that they most definitely succeeded. Each manufacturer has given their own tweaks to the 10 speed. The base configuration is the same but the tuning will be vastly different between the 2 manufacturers.

LOL l. I'm not really sure if you're thinking rationally about all this. Seems kinda emotional?

Me, I think this ZL1 looks awesome and suddenly want one badly! But I'm waiting about one more year until I make my final choice between this, GT500 and Hellcat.

Now, I can admit I grew up in a GM family but my bias has faded around age 30. I still prefer domestics and there's no reason to blindly hate the amazing competition! So many sweet cars coming out. Buy one before V8s stop being made...

3 people with hot transmissions and a heat soaking event in a line of engines are completely different.

Are there any videos? What's the dash say?

I seen oil temps between 225-250. That is great, no trouble there.

Something tells me a Track car might need an auxiliary cooler. I thought Tremec could make a better trans? Of course a Tech Pack doesn't help.

GM is prepared to say anything to get you to buy an Alpha car.

The Mustang sold more cars in North America last month than the ATS, CTS, 5th Gen and 6th Gen Camaro combined.

They keep pumpin' money into a zero or negative return.
