With engine failure or drivetrain a ECU that has been tuned from outside source other than Ford is all they need to deny. Power window failure well that is another story.Lets not forget the Magnuson-Moss Act.
The dealer will have to prove a "tune" caused a failure. My dealer has flat out told me, pop a piston, they may look into the flash file , but general failures, no.
Correct. Guys talk about getting a lawyer but in the end lawyers are not cheap either so many many times the consumer loses.That act won't save you. And the dealer doesn't have to prove anything. They'll just flat out refuse to fix your car and now the burden will be on you.
