I asked myself that same question. I remember seeing all those camoed cars testing on the ring and thinking to myself. " wow they're testing the crap out of these cars ".so far the stats on this forum is:
with the exception of 1 tech pack car, every single tech/base car went to limp mode after 10-15mins.
I know ford is working on a solution, they have to. but it also makes me wonder what kinda testing were they doing in the first place? if they know the car won't do 10mins of track in 60F temp, why would they even release it for public purchase?
Also, track days are not cheap, you pay a fixed cost to go there, cost you gas to go there. if you are suppose to get 6 sessions of full 20mins, but now are getting 6 sessions of 12 mins. you are losing money right there. is Ford gonna pay for that loss?
I know they were probably testing track pack cars, but nevertheles we should be able to do at least 25% of what these cars are capable of.
