The 1le is NOT going to beat the GT350. It may give the base GT350 a good run
Will. It may be somewhat track-specific, but it's likely that differences in driver skill at a typical track day will still amount to more.

It'll be interesting to see how much difference the Track Pack makes over the base GT350 - strictly from a performance standpoint all I'm seeing is different front springs and the MagneRide. And I have a suspicion that the MagneRide will 'fit' some drivers better than others, with no way to adjust it for a different driving style.

It's like comparing website: camaro6G.com vs mustang6g.com. All the loser Chevy Camaro/Corvette guys come to this website because this is where the action & hot cars are located. All the Chevy guys can't talk about if there 2016 looks to much like a 2015 and should they get a flat black hood or not.LOL

As well as a couple of things that should probably have been done differently if this engine was to be a true "Ferrari type engine" (spoiler alert - it isn't, not quite, and the "not quite" part matters).

The 1le is NOT going to beat the GT350. It may give the base GT350 a good run but it's not going to beat the track pack gt350. The Z28 can hardly beat the track pack gt350 and the z28 is faster then the new 1le.
Well if someone is really into beating a gt350, they are not going to leave the 1le stock anyways! Even a couple of hundred dollar tune might solve the problem. Who knows. As long as the car handles well with the 1le package, getting more power out of the lt1 is not going to be a problem! It all depends on the pricing of the 1le. If it comes in pretty cheap compared to a gt350 and still comes close to a base gt350 performance, then the car might still have the advantage considering the pricing.

Anybody who isn't out to spread misinformation out of blind fanboy-ism.

That's true if your buying decision is only based on one factor.

I hate the flat black hood on the 1LE, but I did some research and found that it's a wrap they do after painting, and you can just peel it off. That'll be the first thing I do to mine!

Some of you guys are pushing exotic car owner levels of elitism. For the sake of your egos, I hope the GT350 completely mops the track with the 1LE. I just like cars that are fun. The GT350 is my number one choice, but it's mainly because it's unique, not because it's the fastest thing in the world.

From what I've read the 1LE will clean house. Limp mode is razing it's ugly head. Even some track cars are having issues. The base and tech cars can't handle the laps.
Go to the tread and read for yourself .

Not to mention anyone can tune either car.

I feel like the "oh but if you tune it, it will be faster" reason is kind of meh.

I could tune my DD Nissan Versa. In the end it's still a Versa. Lol

Apples to oranges, but anyone with some money can make anything faster than someone else.

There's pretty much always a faster car.

I like fast cars but I've never bought one because of the fact that one has better numbers some guy got in a magazine.

I absolutely agree. The only exception is that I'd like to see otherwise stock cars testing on the same tires sometimes.

Lol, what sort of mis-information is there and who is spreading it? The voodoo is a flat plane crank motor, regardless of the firing order or if there are 2 intake plenums or not. Mclaren and Ferrari are the only 2 other manufacturers that over a FPC "production" motor, no real misinformation that.

I can beat both on the track just on my own two feet. I usually use pure colombian racing fuel. Try it sometime. It's like a 200 shot of nitrous the entire way around.
