Do you by chance have a catless DP?
Nope still on the stock dp. I have some shiny silver tips though so they show the carbon pretty easily

Yea I've never seen mine drop down that low on the dash. Not sure what it is that changes the tone then, it's definitely noticeable when I change tunes though between stock and lms

Was it definitely an RS? Did you get pics? What color was it?

I have never seen one in person, so I chose black. I would have liked to get a blue like my GTR, but the RS blue is hideous.

That would surprise me in a good way. But we'll see soon enough :D

Side note, parked behind one today while I was filling up another M plate. It sounded soooo good when the guy started it up and drove away.

Edit* Just so everyone's aware, you can produce identical or better sounds like this from a tune. My 98 civic did/ does this on command, it's amazingly satisfying. Just takes a little extra fuel off-throttle ;)

Haha, not really ... there are much more important things in life then cars, this is just how I choose to waste my money :) . I'm hoping to mod the RS as a daily to 700hp, which is about 1/2 of the hp that my GTR. This way I'll still feel like I have a fast car when I get out of the GTR and into my daily.

OK, so the new Focus RS uses just about the same basic 2.3 liter turbo four as the Mustang, tuned up for more power, turned sideways and packaged for FWD. It makes 40 HP and 30 lb-ft. TQ more than the Mustang. It totes around about 300 less pounds of car (curb weight 3400).
Doing a quick Google search turns up 3,532 lbs. as the ecoboost curb weight. IIRC, the premium package adds ~100 lbs. to the car. Also, the automatic is slightly lighter than a stick...IIRC, the automatic guys get an aluminum rear diff housing, while the stick is stuck with a cast iron one :frusty:

3,800 lbs. is like GT weight. Yeah, that meaty V8 (and associated extra structure) adds to the weight of the car:headbang:

No I didn't snap pics because I was filling up at the gas station lol

It was blue (which i think looks really good in person), and pretty dirty...kind of a salt/mud mix. There's a few running around campus here I'll try and snap some pics today if I can find the black one ;)

Edit*** Yes it was an RS, badges, dual exhaust, spoiler and all! I think the first "real" RS's showed up around for testing last fall? Don't remember exactly when.

You're gonna need to do mucho worko on the AWD system to handle that power - just a heads up :D
