All you have to do is contact the two bit town in the middle of nowhere which only sells Ford trucks and you have a GT350. Most will sell you it at msrp or at worst msrp plus the 1k to order it
I don't know where you get your info from dude but good luck

Good for you bud. I don't really get off on cars I cant have. I hope you are making bank. I'm lucky enough and worked hard enough to buy a performance toy, but 400K is far out of the box for normal well above average salary people, I'd rather buy a 150K mid engine vette available car with a V8 when it arrives, and a lot of other people will too.
I've bought and raced Fords for well over 30 years, starting with 351 Clevelands, I'm as die hard a Ford guy as there is. I drove half across the country to drag race my buddies 1970 Boss 302 at the Oklahoma Shelby meet in 1982. I've earned the right to criticize what I see as a big fumble on Fords part.
So when a guy like me says he is disappointed, rest assured they are pissing off the base.

Chevy has 3 cars one of which runs with a 350, and 2 that put a 350R on the trailer. And at least 2 of them are cheaper, and I bet the 3rd is the same or less price as an R, which you have to be more lucky than rich to buy. They also did it in 1 year after the car was introduced. We are 3 years out with nothing but real weak rumors, and, its "going to be a beast" predictions, minimum 4 years out. It had better be. I am certain they are going to lose customers to GM.

I'll be sure to keep an eye out for some pics of that 400K unobtanium GT when you get it. Good luck.
Well said!

You laugh, but did you see the praise the 14's received? In competition after competition both journalist and professional drivers alike swooned over the fiesta st. Beating the likes of Porsche, AMG, M6 Comptetition Pack, Ferrari, etc. Hell Top Gear who hates American cars named it their car of the year over the 1 million dollar Mclaren P1.

Still owners drive the Fist as daily and on track besides the GT4's and GTR's. That's more more praise the last two generations of camaros have received. :frusty:
News flash slick, were not in 2014 anymore kiddo!!

If im reading you right, nobody is going to choose a fiesta st over a Porsche, AMG, m6 etc. unless you want a ass whooping like a pineada in a small Mexican town.

You believe every dealer in the nation ordered a GT350? Interesting.

No but you do. You're the one saying any dealer can order one. I'm telling you not all can.

No, I simply don't think it is an attractive car. Even a lot of the Camaro diehards agree with my opinion regarding the aesthetics.
Big, heavy cars need big aero if it's going to be effective at creating significant downforce. When you get serious enough about certain aspects of performance, you do what it takes and appearance just has to take a back seat, especially when the body shape and style is already locked in. Aero is really a science, and frequently the results clash with contemporary opinions on what constitutes "good style". Have since the kammback and Chrysler's Airflow.

Maybe you just have to be more of an engineer or a racer to appreciate what they've done with the ZL1 1LE's outward appearance. Clearly it's not a car for everybody, with or without the aero.

It's hard to ignore the potential of big aero (and I'm sure somebody will pop in and call this S197 ugly as well) - Terry Fair ran away with TT3 in his 2011 5.0, and the serious aero was part of the reason for that outstanding success . . . at one stage in splitter & wing development, the splitter was effective enough to make the car aero-loose at speed.

Any dealer who chose to sign the paper work and pay the fee at the beginning of the model year would get at least one GT350. This took place twice. Once in 2015, sign pay 2k get one 16 and one 17 gt500. Once in Dec of 16 for an 18 my allocation. The due date to get an 18 was today.

Chevy has the c7 z51, grand sport, z06, and now zl1 and zl1 1le that now run faster than their 75k msrp z28.
Gm has stated the new 1le is still slower than the z28 however on the same tires Im assuming the 1le out paces it on track.
The same can be said for the 350TP compared to the z28. Put the 350 on cup 2 and that sec plus gap goes away. Put the 350 on Trofeo's and it's a sec plus faster than the z28 on a two minute course.

Which two are cheaper? Are you speaking of the R? The 350TP is 57, the zl1 is 63.

My point was not all dealers would choose to order one, but all dealers have the oppurtunity to order one.

If you wanted a GT350 one would need to find a dealer not ordering one, explain that they could get one and make the 3-4K profit from your order. Of course you needed to do this last week.

I can appreciate the performance the car offers and I get the function-over-form reasons for the aero on the car. That does not change my opinion on the aesthetics of the ZL1LE.

I'm comparing Mustang to Camaro (its a lot worse when you throw in the vette)and as much as I mod my cars, it loses consistency if you start swapping parts to equal out cars, although tire swaps should be allowable when comparing, but not rims.

1LE, performance uncomfortably close to a 350TP, a lot cheaper, 1LE big loss on cool factor, 1LE easily found.

ZL1, performance blows away an R, significantly cheaper, arguably as cool, easily found, good luck buying an R.

ZL1/1LE, performance will massacre an R, probably the same price, arguably more cool than an R, jury out on availability.

Solid loss for Ford if you ask me. And I would be kicked off a jury lol.

My impression is Ford is lazy as fuck, catering to the rich and Chevy is working their ass off, bringing it to the masses, and it shows.

Hey, maybe Ford can put some of them GT's in petting zoo's so normal people might get to touch one instead of reading about it in a magazine or they could give away free rides with Jay Leno or something.

The thing is Ford is dominating in sales so they know what they are doing, they will bring out another special edition but it's anyone's guess as to when. If Chevy was winning the sales race they would bring it out faster, but with Chevys sales being so lackluster Ford can wait. Something good is coming, likely in 2019, patients:ford:

It's definitely time for Ford to throw a supercharger on the GT350 and stay in the game with Chevy and Dodge. GT 350 is a great car and sells well but we need to keep up in the horsepower wars.
