Nothing wrong with starting out in the V6, you're probably young with plenty of time to work your way up to the V8. Plus in the end it's still an S550 Mustang which is the important thing.

On a serious note though, the auto can be fun with the paddles. No not going through the gears fun but with manual control you can keep the 6 in its power range very effectively.
I'd have to do the math to decide if EB offers significant advantage over V6. There is fuel costs, but for a long term hold, there is maintenance costs. What's the odds of an EB crossing 250k miles without requring a significant engine / turbo repair? One repair can set you back a lot of fuel savings. A V6 might spring a leak, but the odds against a turbo engine are greater due to FI.In daily driving the EB does not offer an MPG advantage in the form of money saved.

This issue is extremely overplayed. Not buying the EB because of carbon buildup is like not buying a new house because it will eventually collapse. Catch can, meth injection, or a 500$ intake cleaning is all you need if carbon buildup even becomes a problem. Most people won't even have their cars for more than 50k miles.The biggest concern for me on the EB is carbon buildup due to it being DI.
40k on my 6 now and plan on having it past 150k miles. So yea it does actually matter for me at least. A catch can does not filter everything and meth injection is not practical for everyone.
