I am curious, with a Mustang GT as a daily driver, is XPEL film 'worth it'?

For a daily driver you are more prone to getting front end impacts from small objects. If you can afford the added cost it's well worth it and for the piece of mind. I did the full hood, roofline across the windshield, A-pillars, mirror covers, full front bumper, front fenders, splitter, and fog/headlights. They threw in door sills and door handles for free. I swear by this stuff and would get it again in a heartbeat.

Not only does it protect against small rock impacts, it protects against scratches and etching. I had some blueberry bird droppings sit on my hood for a day. I was at work and couldn't clean off the car until I got home. By then, there was a clear etching left behind after washing it off. A little heat from a heat gun and the mark disappeared. If that was directly on the paint, I am not sure how it would have gone.

Also got a nasty rock impact on the painted portion of the front splitter. The PPF took the hit. The paint under it looks ok but I ended up using touch-up paint to hide the gash in the PPF.

I also installed Rokbokz. Zero stone chips on the rear hip area of the car. Those are worth it as well.

Some would argue just deal with the stone chips. Or repaint the front/hood after 5 years. That can be done too but in doing so it will gradually take on damage and blemishes over the years. The PPF keeps it looking new.

This is the first car I ever had it done on.
After 8 years of getting rock chips on my last car (Corvette) I decided this car would get protected.

It’s all about how much you want to protect your car and what the car means to to you. I’ve been waiting to get a new 5.0 since 2011. Well got mine in 2020. I did PPF on the front end plus some extras on the CS glossy grill and other areas (head lights, trunk area scuff guard and be hard rear tires). I can see in 2 impacts where it has saved the front end, but suffered an impact at the roof at the top corner of the windshield (which I cry daily and will have it fixed). This car means a lot to me so the grand I spent to try and keep it sexy is worth it to me. The lady’s car with 30k miles looks like poop on the front end but that’s a grocery getter. Shhh do tell her.

Oh btw I obviously dd drive mine and also got weather tech liners so I didn’t mess up my CS embroidered floor mats with my nasty boots.

To the guys that got the PPF, would you be willing to talk about what it cost you to have it done? I got a quote yesterday for $2300 to wrap the hood, fenders, and front bumper. Is that in line?

I had mine done at Ziebart, they did an amazing job. They did full hood, bumper (included front splitter), lights, mirror covers, front half of fenders, A-pillars with XPEL. They threw in sill protectors and door handles for free. In 2019 this cost me $1700 Canadian. Convert to US and add some inflation and that should be around $1400 US. You might want to shop around. If your option includes FULL fenders, that could explain the higher price you were quoted. But still... that's a lot more money.

P.S. I went back a year later and got the front roof edge done too. Soo many rocks hit that part of my commuter car that I could not allow the Mustang to go unprotected here.

Here's mine from 2019. $2300 seems high. Do not forget the mirror caps (should be included with the "full front clip") and the "A" pillars.

His price is in line, your guy is low. That would be a $4500 ticket for me. 1600 is too low for a full front especially considering he's including headlights and pillars. Also low on the correction and coating price. IMO, of course.
