X pipe vs H pipe

I bought pypes brand H pipe as there will be 0 difference in sound between them and the expensive ones. There isn't much support between the pipes as on the expensive ones though(easy fix). I have active exhaust and I drive it in sport mode mostly and constantly get compliments on the sound.

(Yes I said cheap. I'm not buying crazy expensive brand pipes that will outlast the car. As long as it resists rust and has good welds it's fine. It's stainless steel, not magic )

Tell me about it...I want to get a Kooks catless H to swap with my X but it's like $1,149 for just a fucking x pipe! GTFO

I currently have an X pipe on my exhaust set up and am thinking about switching to an H pipe if I like what I hear. I've never owned a car with an H pipe but I've heard good things. Anybody have any direct experience with switching from an X to an H? Video clips would be helpful too I suppose if there is a comparison somebody has. Thanks.

Just put CL h pipe from American Muscle on 2020 GT and have active exhaust. It sounds so much better than stock even though I thought stock sounded good. Resonator delete and had the shop weld the front and used factory clamps on muffler end. 10r80 feels like a little more grunt down low. You won’t regret it.
Oh and the cold start is insane and no drone.

Steeda H for me. With kooks catted LTH it sounds amazing. Track and sport are loud at higher RPMs. Normal mode sounds great all around and won’t offend anyone. Quiet and even my wife likes it.

Had C&L H pipe installed 2023 GT manual W/O active exhaust and seemed too loud with lots of pops . Replaced it with CJ Pony Parts Accelatec Resonated X pipe and seemed ok but really didn't like the sound plus seemed a drop in performance . Had the H pipe reinstalled by another shop few months ago , no pops this time and improvement with low end torque . Hit 2nd and got sideways the 5.0 came back alive , with Acceletec would barely chirp the tires.

The H pipe will be less raspy for sure(that's my preference), but the X pipe will breath a little better.

H-pipe on my 21GT and LOVE it! I have active exhaust so I can choose how loud I want it. The 5.0 is still raspy at high RPM, even with an H-pipe...just the nature of the engine. But what I like is low RPM in track mode. Lots of grumbles.

Steeda X just sounded way better to me. I'm running stock active exhaust on my 2020

Different kinds of ssteel though, pypes vs Steeda. Just go on YouTube and compare.

I have always been a fan of the deeper H-pipe sound. H-pipe all the way. I have the Steeda H-pipe. Sound like thunder at mid-low rpm range

I have a H pipe currently. Was thinking when I do headers for boost that I may order a X pipe to try out.

I have an X-pipe, never had an H-pipe on a Coyote.

I still think an older 5.0 with Flowmasters sound amazing (has three Foxbody cars over the years), but with the new one I wanted to stick with the higher rpm sound, and it seemed like the X-pipe better complimented that.

I love the sound, and that's the only exhaust mod.

I'd like to hear both in person, as listening on YouTube really changes how they sound.
